Crazy girl don't you know that i love you I Wouldn't dream of going nowhere silly woman come here let me hold you Have i told you lately i love you like crazy girl [presto] eleven years. by any relationship standards, that was actually a miracle or something. especially when you took in the fact that it counted high school and middle school, a time that tested even the strongest of relationships. but then, his relationship with lenny had never fit in the normal category. he'd never asked her to help him distract atty from the abuse, never asked her to help him raise his sister, never asked her to save him from himself. their relationship had been through things that most high school kids hadn't dreamed of and she'd done things most girlfriends probably would have left before doing. maybe lenny just viewed herself as the average girl, but in his eyes, she was so much more than that. she could be a goddess, she was his hera, she was his life. maybe his lips had kissed one other girl in his lifetime, but he was her man in every way, shape, and form. she was his first and if he had any say in it, she would most definitely be his last. the day lenny walked away and the six months that had followed were probably some of the darkest moments of his life. had it not been for athena keeping a close eye on him, it would have been so easy to revert back to his old behavior, back to the things that had almost killed him in high school. with lenny, maybe the scars felt like badges of honor, a sign of how far he'd come despite the circumstances. but without her, they were just another temptation to resist. a life without lenny in it had proven itself to be a life he didn't wanna life he didn't want to live. nothing had felt like heaven more than the day that lenny had literally run back into his life.
it was heaven, alysium on earth, it always had been with lenny. and just like with lenny before, there was just something else that made it so all the bad things didn't bug him as much. it didn't take him long to decide that there would be a wedding. he was gonna make lenny his till death do they part. he didn't question it. what he did question was how exactly to plan a wedding? he'd been talking to athena, since apparently even if zeus hadn't been into planning it, lenny and his sister definitely had been. as it turned out, they seemed to have all the details planned out, right down to their favorite dresses in magazines. he'd been thinking about christmas presents for lenny, because despite how simple lenny preferred things to be, zeus liked to go all out and spoil his loved ones rotten. he had had a couple ideas, like broadway shows and burger joints with diamond necklaces, or a illegal picnic at the top of the statue of liberty, or even a new apartment. which all sounded fine and dandy, but somehow didn't seem like enough after all the hell he'd put her through to make her leave him. and thats when the idea hit him. a surprise wedding. lenny had planned most of it after all. he'd known he wanted to marry lenny the second she came back into his life. if not for his aforementioned ability to spoil, he would have taken lenny to the nearest church and married her. but he wanted their wedding to be special and as unique as they were. so, he'd talked with his sister and they got everything planned out. zeus set a reservation for their honeymoon for the next month. he figured that would be enough time away to focus on their relationship without the world getting in the way
it was christmas eve, the day of the wedding. and zeus found himself trying really hard not to smile like a fool. he couldn't give anything away, couldn't let lenny know that anything was out of the ordinary. so he'd told lenny that he had some last minute gifts to buy and the like. which wasn't entirely a lie after all. the wedding was the gift. and he really did have last minute details to take care of. he hated that he wasn't spending a majority of the day with lenny. but he'd sent her on a trip to see new york, just so she would be too busy to put much thought into what he was doing. but he'd given her strict instructions to be home by three so she could open her christmas present. which was probably the first full truth he'd told her all day and it made him feel better. he'd sent athena on an errand to go pick up their dresses and make sure that both she and lenny made it to the venue on time. he had been walking around new york and making calls to make sure that everything would be as damn close to perfect as they could be. he still had to pick up his tux and damon's tux. the cake was being delivered, as was what little food they would eat during the wedding. he'd probably paid double on everything because he was making them do it on christmas eve but he knew it was worth it. this was his wedding, he'd have paid whatever it took to make it perfect. once all the minute details had been taken care of, he finally began to get himself ready. he'd been tempted to comb back his hair with gel but that had never been his style and lenny always seemed to like it better messy. he dressed himself in his tux, putting the blue orchid on his lapel like he was supposed too.
with a quick glance at the clock, which read three o' clock exactly. he could feel his heart skip a beat. about now, lenny would be arriving at home, probably seeing the limo parked out front and just beginning to wonder what was going on. and she would walk upstairs to her bedroom - they'd slept separately since she got back so they could work on their relationship - and see the box on the bed with a dress inside and a note that told her to let atty help her get ready and to let the limo take her to her pre arranged destination. once again, there would be questions on her lips. and once she saw athena, she would assault her with the questions. but she wouldn't receive a worthwhile answer, his sister was good with avoiding direct answers. and this is where he stopped knowing what would happen. he liked to think that lenny would trust him and get ready, but he knew she could also say no. and this uncertainty would be enough to drive him nuts. he loved lenny with every fiber of his being. his heart, soul, and body belonged to her. if lenny walked away now, he would never be able to love someone else that way again. and he would always compare them to lenny, to his true love. he could only hope that in the end, lenny felt the same. he sat and watched the clock, each minute another minute of self doubt and agony. the next half hour went by with an agony he didn't miss. finally, at three thirty, he made his way to the altar. he would wait there for lenny. he would wait for lenny till his hair turned gray. her love was a kind worth waiting for. his eyes were glued to the entrance, his palms getting sweaty. he couldn't remember a time when he was this nervous, he wasn't even this nervous before a show. but this wasn't a show, this was so much more. each minute without a glimpse of lenny was agony, but still, he waited. [/presto]

It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do After six months without him, Lennon had found Zeus in New York City. A feat that she could not even begin to think she could have done on her own. Although if it wasn't for the man who had decided he wanted to try to take her home, against her will, she wouldn't have found Zeus. Now it was the slow process of trying to figure out everything in their relationship. Lennon had no doubts in her mind that she wanted to be with Zeus. If that meant waiting forever for him, she'd do it. If she had to sacrifice the idea of marriage, she would. But to appease him, maybe it wasn't to appease him, but to ease his mind Lenny also sacrificed the idea of children. Knowing that Zeus was terrified that he'd end up like his own father. Lennon though knew that was far from the truth, Zeus was fiercely protective of those he loves, and wouldn't hurt anyone. Unless they were threatening his family or her. As Lennon explored the city she tried to keep the thought of not having those two things in her life off of her mind, but it was proving hard to do. Forcing herself to look at the scenery instead of the thoughts in her head. Lenny had no clue why Zeus had chosen Christmas Eve to send her out to explore the city. Of all days she thought he'd want to spend it with her and their little family unit. While she enjoyed seeing all the sites, and they amazed her almost as much as Athens had when she moved there, it wasn't exactly the same. Sure she had her camera, and it took amazing pictures, but she was there alone. Well not exactly alone, Zeus was always the type to make sure everyone was looked after. In the car obviously was a driver, but also a guard. Although half the day Lenny had outrun him and slipped somewhere to avoid him until he went to the car. The sights were far better without someone watching your every move. Zeus would probably be angry with her, but ever since the incident he had her with a guard if he wasn't with her. Looking down at her phone, she had no texts. It surprised her, as of the last month she was in constant contact with Zeus. Sure it was Christmas Eve, and he had told her that he had some errands to run. But at this point it was just odd. As she locked her phone, before she put it back in her pocket she looked at the time. It was 2:45, and she had strict instructions to be back at the apartment by 3 pm. Bolting back to the car, and jumping in, telling the driver to take her home. As she waited, she stared down at her wrist, the bright blue lightning bolt was illuminated by the light of the sun through the suv's window. Smiling as she looked at it, but remembering she had been in a very dark place for her when she had gotten it. Leaving Zeus was the hardest thing she could have ever done. She'd been with him so long, and most people thought they would live and die for one another. Everything came crashing down when she returned home. Not leaving her room for days, and even worse was the tabloids. The worst thing was that it wasn't just Zeus she left. It was leaving her whole little family behind. She was sure that Damon would be cursing her when he found out, and Atty, she hadn't even thought of her when she left. Everything was different now though. Lennon and Zeus were back together, trying to find the place they once had been. Now they were here on Christmas Eve, and none of them together. Hell Lennon hadn't even caught a glance at anyone, except for Zeus for the few minutes she saw him after she woke up. As soon as she got back to the apartment, she raised an eyebrow at the limo standing by at the lobby entrance. Now obviously Zeus liked to spoil everyone, and he made that quite clear, but the apartment they lived in with everyone else was extravagant. So was the building it was in. Maybe it was for other people living in the building, who knew? Lenny ignored it, and waved the driver away before the guard could get out. Taking a deep breath in, her mind cleared. Hoping that her makeshift family was upstairs waiting for her. God she just wanted to see all of their smiling faces, that would be the best Christmas present at this point. The elevator ride was quick, and as she unlocked the door, there was no noise in the apartment. Lennon called out for anyone. No response. Walking to her own room to find this mysterious Christmas present she was supposed to open. There were a few boxes on her bed, the largest catching her eyes first. But before she could open it, she found a handwritten note written from Zeus on top of the boxes. 'L, let Atty help you get ready, the limo downstairs is waiting for you girls. Once you guys are in, it'll take you to a prearranged destination. -Z'Lennon stared at the note, questioning why she knew nothing about this. She worried that he was taking her somewhere she wouldn't exactly want to be. Record label parties and things like that. Her father was a fairly popular writer, Lennon liked to keep everything relatively simple. She didn't wear expensive clothes, or over extravagant jewelry. That was never her taste. So she hated the idea of being dolled up for a party while all eyes were normally on Zeus. She sat down on the edge of her bed. Sure, it was a little over sized for just her, but she wasn't going to tell Zeus that she only needed a small bed when it came to her living with him again. She stared down at the two boxes. Waiting to see Athena, knowing that eventually she'd make an appearance. She shrugged, and decided to open the larger box first. Her eyes widened, now Zeus knew damn well that she would ruin the white. Well the white of whatever kind of garment it was. Pulling it out of the box, realizing it was not a shirt, but a full length dress. She raised an eyebrow, not even able to think of the last time that she had even wore a dress. Maybe it was prom? Who knew, but this dress was very white. Although it was her style, simple, not too much going on with the gems on the front. She laid it carefully on the bed next to her, and grabbed the much smaller box. This box was actually wrapped though. Lenny opened what she guessed was the other part of her present. She recognized what kind of box it was as soon as the wrapping paper was off. Vans, an obvious choice for her or Zeus. He had his own favorite, and so did she. Although she was surprised with what was in the box, it wasn't her trademark tie dye vans, but instead his own favorite bright red ones. There were no heels near the dress, so maybe she was supposed to wear these. Either way, she would, she appreciated the gifts. Before she could even try to put the dress on, she heard the apartment's front door open and close. Grabbing the dress, Lennon bolted for the door, trying to see if it had been Atty or maybe even Damon. They would know what Zeus was doing. Obviously being in an apartment helped her, she found herself in the living room. "Atty, was that you?" She called, waiting for an answer. Amazed that whoever had come in was already out of her sight. "Atty, come on. I need to ask you something."Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.

| Today was the day. Today was the day of the wedding and Athena couldn't have been more excited for it to happen. Her small, make-shift family was all coming together, literally, and she couldn't have asked for anything better to happen. The event taking place was much anticipated but almost unbelievable. Lenny played a huge role in Atty's life and she loved and adored Lenny with all of her heart. She was a friend, a sister, and a motherly figure for her and there was no doubt that Athena needed somebody to fill those role in her life. Zeus was of course an amazing brother and took care of her, but there were things that she needed that Zeus couldn't exactly help with. Girly things. So, that's where Lenny stepped in and helped out. Athena already looked at Lenny as part of her family, but after today, she was going to be a legit part of the family.
Atty was incredibly proud of her brother for all he had done and what he'd gone through. She knew that he's has some rough times and she had to keep a close eye on him, but things were getting better - thing were always getting better for the two of them. Atty felt like things could've only gotten better from where they started, but it was gonna take a little time and effort to make it happen. In the days leading up to the wedding, she had never seen Zeus smile so much in his life, and that made Athena happy. If her brother was happy, then so was she. He was the most important part of her life and would do just about anything for him. So, just to see that he was genuinely happy was just enough to put her at peace and put a smile on her own face.
The plans had all been arranged and Athena was sent to the apartment to help Lenny get ready. She knew that she was going to be blasted almost immediately with questions, but Athena wasn't going to budge and give anything up. She headed over to the apartment and opened the door and peered in, seeing if Lenny was in sight. She closed the door behind her before she headed into her bedroom to grab something before she heard Lenny's voice question if it was her. "It me, Lenny!" She called before walking out to the living room to see her standing there with the dress in her hands. "What's up?" she questioned, letting a grin come across her face. "Do you need some help getting your dress on?" she inquired, raising her brows and she shoved her hands into her leather jacket pockets. Atty prepared herself for all the questions that she was about to be bombarded with.

It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do Lennon looked down the hall, watching Athena appear in front of her. She must have looked really weird with a dress in her hand. Never really liking them all too much, Lenny was surprised that Zeus would even think to get her one. Of course her idea of a christmas present this year was something much smaller, and less dressy. Honestly, her heart was racing. She hated the idea of going to something in such a pretty dress. Her mind was immediately thinking of how she could ruin it, or how she'd fall over herself. Because let's face it, Lennon was not the most graceful girl in the world. What was this, let's make the British girl new to America roam around the city and fall on her face? Watching the smile cross Atty's face made her think she knew something. Of course Lennon had been left out of the loop. She didn't know whether to be angry or happy about it. "Do you know what this is all about?" Raising an eyebrow, her voice was kind of shaky. She didn't like the idea of not knowing what was going on, but it must have been something important right? Nodding towards Athena, she didn't know what to do. "Atty, does it look like I can pull off a dress like this? I mean really. Zeus must be losing his mind." She really was questioning his judgement at the moment. Lenny wasn't the type of girl who wore dresses unless she absolutely had to. Or if it was summertime. Lennon just couldn't think of any reason she'd have to wear something like this. Or why Atty would be grinning from ear to ear like she was. All the questions in her mind, she didn't even know what to ask. The problem with knowing the Marinos' for so long was that if there was a surprise, no one was budging on giving up the intel. "There's gotta be something you can tell me. You guys have been too sneaky for the last week." Of course Lennon had noticed that whispering would stop as soon as she walked in the room. They always just waved it off, like it was something simple. But honestly it had gotten into her head. Lennon was a worrier. She fears for the worst, and it seemed like she wasn't being let in on it. "I definitely need your help though." Lenny could not even picture herself in the dress. It looked more expensive then what she should probably ever wear. The idea of white too was killing her. Turning on her heel, she figured Atty would follow her down to her own room. Mumbling little british things under her breath that Atty probably either wouldn't get, or wouldn't want to understand. Lennon knew there was something important going on. Not exactly realizing it was probably right in front of her face. "God, I'm gonna die in this thing. Bloody hell, what is the matter with your brother? Thinking I'll be alright in this." He owed her big time for this. A dress, come on Zeus, what were you thinking? Lenny was always more comfortable in her own clothes. Zeus never really did buy her any, she always went out and got her own. Sure he knew the style she liked, but it was just always better if she chose it. Who knew what she'd look like if he picked out her normal clothes. Probably cleavage everywhere, and shorts for days. Gods she couldn't imagine it at all. Lenny kicked off her shoes, not even knowing where to start. "You know I'm going to ask fifty thousand questions, but am I going to have to be all dolled up for this too? Makeup, hair the whole thing?" If she said yes, Lennon didn't know what she would do. Her hair was always wavy, never really feeling like she had to straighten it. Zeus always seemed to like it the way it was. Makeup she did everyday, but it was mostly just eyeliner. Who knew what she was getting herself into going along with what his note said. Maybe this was to help atone for leaving. She had no clue, and was sure that Atty's lips would be sealed. Not that it eased her mind in any way. Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.

| The confusion and utter obliviousness that was displayed on Lennon's face made Atty want to burst out into a fit of laughter. It brought her complete joy, but she kept quiet and Lenny continued on with her questioning. She shook her head and chuckled for a moment. She ignored the first question about if she knew what was going on. Of course she did, but she didn't want to say anything that would give it away or even slightly give her hint of what the heck was going on. Instead, Atty focused on answering her next questioned. "Of course you can pull it of, Lenn. You're look absolutely stunning!" she replied with a grin on her face. Lenny was a gorgeous looking woman just by herself, but Atty knew that she'd be 10 times more gorgeous in that dress and Atty couldn't wait to see her in it. "We don't have time for questions, now, Lenny. C'mon, let's get the dress on," she mentioned walking towards her, smiling.
Athena knew that Lenny wasn't going to be completely all about the dress. It was, of course, not too much of her style. Sure, it was simple and nice, but it was after all a white, nice dress. She wouldn't like it at first, but once she realized what was going on, she was going to fall in love with it - Atty just knew it. "And sneaky is how its going to remain, my dear," she responded with a slight nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. They had been ultra sneaky about it, and to be honest, Athena was surprised. Most of the time, someone would spill the beans on what was going down and give it all up to Lennon. It was very rare that they could actually surprise her with something. But this time, boy, they were really gonna surprise her. She followed Lenny into her bedroom and giggled as she mumbled things under her breath in British. She didn't know what she was saying, but she wasn't sure she really wanted to know either. It was better left unsaid in English, most likely. "You aren't gonna die, relax. You're gonna be fine! Now would you just take a second and breathe?" She said to her, hoping that she'd relax a little bit and just take a moment.
"We don't have a lot of time, but we don't have to get you completely dolled up. Your hair looks absolutely fine and we could do just a little makeup," Atty mentioned after taking a quick glance over her. "If that's alright with you, we can do that now? That way it won't get on the dress or anything." Athena had taken an interest in makeup a couple years back. When she had to chance to get some makeup supplies, she took every chance to do makeup and after a while, she got pretty good at it. "Either you can do that or I can, whichever you are more comfortable with, but we must hurry! Don't wanna be late," she smirked, winking at her. While it was incredibly cruel of Atty to be teasing Lenny like this, she kind of found it fun... Very cruel, but fun.

It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do Nothing could add up in Lennon's mind. The dress, it seemed much more elegant then something she would normally wear. Plus it was white, why would Zeus make her wear white? She loved him dearly, but he should have known better. Theories were flying around her head too. But she still felt stumped. The poor girl driving herself to question everything from the last few weeks. Looking back to Athena brought her to her senses. She nodded, preparing to have to rush through everything they needed to get done in what seemed like ten minutes. Sure, they had half an hour, but could they make their crushing timeline. She took a deep breath and laid the dress on her bed carefully. She felt less concerned about how she'd look in the dress. Athena had always been a good judge of clothing choices for Lennon. Who knew, maybe she had even picked it out. "Alright, let's kill it so we can get to this mysterious thing we have to go to." She hadn't even bothered to not sound a little annoyed. She was used to someone giving in to her need to know what was going on. This seemed like the only time that it could be no dice. Lennon shrugged it off, trying not to be stressed about it. Athena had said she'd be fine, she indeed would be fine. "Alright, where do you want me? You're quicker with makeup, and you'll do a hell of a lot better than I could do in such a short time." Lennon tried to put a smile on her face. After all, she had never really been the type to have to get too much together for a party. Athena was the obvious choice out of the two of them to be girly. Lenny was constant with pants, boots, sneakers, tank tops in her closet. There weren't any cute sun dresses like Athena had always managed to pull off any time of the year. Kicking off her boots, and socks, Lennon look at Athena for direction. Realizing that for the first time since she met little Atty, that she was in her hands, not the opposite way around. A proud smile crossed her face, thinking of all the times she had watched over her carefully. It was hard focusing on the plan ahead, old times flooded her. Until she shook it out of her head. Everything seemed to be changing around them, but this little family unit she had formed held like glue. They had even welcomed her back, after the way she had left. Not even speaking to Athena, that's what hurt too. Before tears could come rushing to her, she stopped. "Sorry, everything's just getting to me. The whole mystery, how lucky I am for you guys. I mean that, you guys are my family, and you didn't have to let me come back." Lenny bit her lip, knowing that she could get mixed feelings from that. It had just been that this was the time of year they should spend together, not separated, or worrying about getting dressed up. Lennon tried to bring a smile back to her face, without the sad memories or even the extremely happy memories. She didn't exactly want to cry, and she couldn't do it when the dress was on. That was her main goal, get the dress on without any issues. Without any make up on it, or without falling over it. Atty would probably be fed up with her before they even left the apartment. Maybe, just maybe she could get an idea out of it. She felt like she was missing something, something very huge. Of course Lennon was sometimes oblivious, and she definitely felt like this was one of those moments. "I'm missing something that should be obvious huh?" A soft smile spreading across her lips. Knowing that she might not get an answer, but all she had to do was see the look on Atty's face when she either tried to avoid it, or answered it with a smile. Either way, there was some bigger picture that Lennon could just not grasp. She would feel extremely stupid when she figured it out, but would it be on the way to wherever the limo was to take them? Or would it be before they had even left the apartment? Only time could tell, and Lennon was working on a couple hunches. Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.

| Athena knew that the whole scenario was just driving Lenny up the wall and there was no way of denying that it wasn't. Of course, if Atty had been in the same situation Lenny was there would be no way in hell she would be able to piece everything together to figure out what the hell was going on. I mean, everything was kind of just kind of thrown at her out of the blue and she was left to figure it out on her own, really. It was certainly a unique situation that she was put in, but at the end of the day she would absolutely love and treasure it for the rest of her life. Her own makeshift family had snuck around behind her back to set this whole thing up and they did an amazing job of keeping it hidden without having any slip ups or giving out any hints. Oh, yeah, Lenny was going crazy with the anticipation of finding out what was going on and what everything was meant for. Ah, if only the poor girl knew.
Atty chuckled and shrugged, "Just take a seat and I'll handle it, dear. Don't stress." She quickly exited the room to retrieve some makeup supplies from her bedroom before coming back and breaking out what she needed. She decided that she wasn't going to do anything extravagant with her makeup or anything because she didn't want to go overboard or mess it up, or anything of the sort so she kept it sweet and simple - not like Lenny needed much makeup anyway because she was absolutely gorgeous without it. After a while, Lenny started speaking and what she said almost shocked her. "Len, don't apologize. We didn't have to do anything - we wanted to. We love you to death so of course we'd let you come back," she spoke, noticing the look on her face as if she was about to cry, "You're family to us and you mean so much to everyone. We want you around and we're glad that you are here."
Atty loved and adored Lennon dearly. She practically raised her from a young age and was always there for her no matter what was going on. She was like a mother and a sister all at once for her and that was definitely something that she needed in her life since her own mother wasn't ever around to do it. Athena honestly looked up to Lenny and was so glad to have this woman in her life and definitely in her family. She definitely considered Lenny to be her best friend besides her own brother, of course.
Atty began applying the makeup in a quickly, but nicely manner. It wasn't anything too extravagant other than some eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, and whatnot. It was simple, but she knew that Lenny would like it considering it was anything overdramatic or anything. She put the finishing touches on Lenny before she began putting all the makeup supplies away and getting a last judgment look on the makeup right when Lenny asked her question. Atty smiled and chuckled with a nod of her head, "Yes, love, but it'll all makes sense in no time." She knew she had been saying that a lot to Lenny, but what else was she supposed to say? She quickly grabbed the dress and smile at Lenny before wiggling the dress slightly, "Let's get you dressed." She couldn't wait to see what she looked like when she got into the beautiful gown.
