let's get things straight. in the summer of 1995, mr. harry potter never encountered any dementors whilst accompanied by his cousin, mr. dudley dursley. he never conjured a patronus in order to save he and mr. dursley from the aforementioned dementors. he was never forceably removed from the dursley household as a result of traumatizing their son. he was never expelled from hogwarts and therefore never stood trial in order to be reinstated to the school's ranks. all of that was fiction.

what really happened was this. mr. potter was bullied relentlessly by the dursleys as he was every year, and when september came he traveled to diagon alley to purchase the necessities for the following school year just like he had each previous year. from there, he met up with the weasley family and accompanied them back to the burrow, unaware of the revival of the order of the phoenix that had taken place that summer. he, mr. ronald weasley, and ms. hermione granger departed on the train to hogwarts just as they always did, except with a grave secret over the heads of the latter.

now it's time to see what this year has in store for harry and his friends. what tortures does the new defense against the dark arts professor, umbridge, have planned for them? is arthur weasley in danger of voldemort's companion nagini? will the death eaters be able to somehow manipulate harry into retrieving the prophecy that they desire? so many questions remain unanswered, and the edge of the night draws near...
