ATHENA D. MARINOS

That girl in the picture is Athena Drea Marinos. She's an eighteen year old genius college student. She's been extremely intelligent her whole life, catching on faster than most her age, and as a result has become a jack of all trades. Atty knows several languages such as English, Spanish, Greek, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, and she's currently working on Latin. Having grown up in a band setting, she is also quite skilled at playing many instruments. The guitar, drums, piano, violin, and harp are just a few which she picked up on the road with her brother and their little make-shift family. School has also been something that she's always excelled at, despite having to learn through the internet rather than going to a building and socializing with kids her age. This has sadly stunted her social growth, and Athena hopes to work on such things while in Uni.
Even though she's a genius, Atty isn't arrogant or haughty. In fact, she hates the title "genius". It makes her stand out just because of her advanced thought processes, and that's something that has always made her uncomfortable. Instead of being noticed for smarts, the girl merely wants to follow her passions. She only soaks up knowledge so greedily because it both passes time and pleases her. Athena doesn't like to be ignorant or naive. If there's a subject she doesn't know much about, you'd better believe you'll find her face stuck in a book or her laptop screen.
Like her brother, Thena is a huge lover of music. Anything and everything with an interesting sound to it has her attention, and she often composes her own private little songs. She leaves the spotlight ot Zeus however, since music is simply an interest rather than a passion. It gets her through the day and makes her happy when she's sad or calm when she's angry. It's been a part of her life since she can remember, and music is precious in her heart. Athena wants no place in the musical world though. No, what she wants to do with her future is travel the world. She adores learning about cultures, languages, and places. Also, having grown up on the road, she's become a free-spirit of sorts. Settling in one spot simply isn't Athena.
Right now, Atty is stuck in New York. It will do for now, especially since it's where her brother and mother/sister-figure, Lenny plan to marry. They're the most important people in the world to her, and she'll be damned if she doesn't have her hand in creating their perfect happily-ever-after. In fact, she's going to set up a surprise wedding for Lenny very soon. Athena was torn to shreds when things went sour between Zeus and Lenny. It felt like their family was incomplete and unsettled her. She's the type of gal that places great importance to the few people she's close to, and doesn't bode well when being forced to leave one of them behind.
While some people could consider Athena perfect, she's far from it. She is as stubborn as a mule, and won't budge an inch once her mind's set. Her will-power is as strong as they come, and it's very difficult for her to give up. When set on something, Atty can also become quite testy. Mess with her plans, and be prepared to have your head ripped from your shoulders. She's a very particular person, and believes wholly in the saying "if you want things done, you've got to do them yourself. Things just don't seem to end up right if left to another person. This probably stems from the projects she had to do alone as a kid. Sure, her brother and other friends within the crew offered help, but Atty has always been convinced that to be able to truly say you've earned a good grade yourself, you need to do the work on your own.
Also, you know those people who go with the flow and back down because they're tired of fighting? That's definitely not Athena. She fights tirelessly, and isn't afraid to fiercely defend herself. Being stepped on is not something she'll tolerate. In fact, people should probably be cautious when messing with Atty. Despite how she looks, she's pretty good at fighting. Being in a band setting means carrying plenty of heavy equipment, and even fighting off drunks or druggies on occasion. It's a necessity to know how to take care of yourself, even with a brother as fiercely protective as hers. Although, she doesn't mind Zeus being that way. Athena is a brother's girl and has always stuck to him like a shadow. While she likes to act independent, it's no secret that Thena is very dependent on her brother emotionally.
More than anything though, Athena has a sense of humor. She's always willing to joke around and poke fun with her friends. In fact, if she were more used to a social school setting, she'd likely be her college's class clown. Being able to make others laugh and in turn laugh is something Atty thrives off of. While not always the most social gal, especially when in a research kick, she does know how to get wild and have fun. Athena's the type to make funny faces often, laugh all the time, and bounce sexual innuendos off walls out of nowhere. You could say she's an awkward, quirky kind of silly, but Atty's been told it works for her. And being someone who isn't easily embarrassed, she's not changing any time soon.
The past isn't really something Athena likes to dwell on, mostly because of the fact that she cannot remember her parents. She was too young by when her and Zeus left for her to remember much, even with her sharp memory. Atty thinks it may be because of the fact that not having her parents had probably upset her a lot, but she cannot remember enough to know for sure. Her brother having been older than her, older enough to remember, she's attempted to ask before. Given the look he'd had when she'd asked, Athena had decided to brush it off. It shouldn't matter what happened in the past when the future looks so bright, right? A part of her fears what happened, and wants to be kept unwitting of the events. Being raised by her brother, Lenny, and Damon are enough for her, because that's the best family Atty could ever ask for. She's currently uninterested in her history, and would rather focus on both her studies and her group of special people; especially since Lenny is back.
