Well wasn't today Mathias' lucky day? He got a date with a model. Well, not exactly. But close enough, and he still had the right to brag about it, right? Sure he did. This was a rather odd, last minute thing, but he was sure it could be fun nonetheless. He needed some more friends anyway. He had quite a few because of clients and such, but not many real, outside-of-work ones. Plus he could always go for some food. Mathias loved food. Who doesn't? And now all he had left to do was make reservations at a place he liked in particular, and hopefully his new friend would like. Pulling out his phone he searched for the number of this place, Italian, which was a favorite of his. Mathias looked at the number that popped up, dialing the restaurant.
"Hello? Yes, I'd like to make reservations for two. Thank you ma'am." He hung up the phone. Alright, now all that was left was to get ready and pick up the model. Mathias decided to jump in the shower quickly and finish getting ready, wearing something like what he'd wear to work, black jeans and a button up shirt with a blue tie. He looked around for his keys that were buried somewhere under the clutter of books and journals and files on his desk in his study. Mathias was just a disorganized person, though he usually knew where everything was. Grabbing them off the desk, he swung the ring around his finger as he thought, looking at the phone and texting Minnie. 'Be there in 15 or so.' Sending the text off, he slipped on some plain black dress shoes and out the door, making sure to lock it behind him. He knew what it was like around here, and even in the nicer neighborhoods it was dangerous, or well, a lot more so than South Dakota.
Shrugging off the thought, he headed to his car and swung open the door, glad to see he had left his jacket in there since it was a bit chilly. "Wallet, keys, phone. Ok we're good." Mathias mumbled to himself, looking around before closing the door and starting the car. Well it wasn't terribly cold, but he turned on some heat to warm it up a bit because it was cold enough for that. He pulled out of tight parking space and started heading to where Minnie had directed him to. Hopefully she'd be ready since this was all a bit rushed and he made the reservation with not a ton of time to spare. Mathias looked out the window as he drove down the street, stopping for one more thing, a last minute idea. He grabbed what he needed and ran back to the car, setting the thing on the back seat. "Okay, now to pick up the date." He chuckled to himself and pulled the car out, driving to Minnie's street. Upon arrival, he pulled up the the curb, giving a gentlemanly two honks of the car horn to announce his arrival, before turning off the car and hopping out.
