TOBIAS J. NEWTON
21 - MECHANIC - LOCAL - COLTON HAYNES

Tobias was born in a not so wealthy family. They struggled to get by all the time. He has five other siblings, him be the middle child with his twin brother. They moved around a lot when they were really young until they started school, finally settling in a place when he was in second grade. That was where he met Venessa. They have been friends ever since then and have been through a lot together. Tobias used to pick on the little girl all the time. But of course, what second grade boy wouldn't pick on the little girls, he found it very entertaining.
As he got a little older, he got a crush on Vanessa, though at first never really did anything about it, she was his best friend. But when he brought it up to her, they decided to try dating, not really sure where it would end up. Things were okay but there were no 'sparks' so to speak. Then again, they were still very young and really didn't know what that meant. Of course, a kiss here and there did happen but still nothing and they didn't continue on dating. It was just too wierd and honestly, Tobias didn't want to lose his best friend over something like that, she meant too much to him. To this day, it comes up in random conversations but thats about it. "Remember that time...." They give a laugh and then move on. Don't get him wrong, Tobias is very very protective of Vanessa and will tell her how he feels about a guy she likes or is seeing no matter what, she desereves to know. He will not beat around the bush and sometimes that may hurt her but he is just trying to protect her. She is one of the only things that is important to him.
Now, when he is not hanging out with Vanessa, Tobias is at the shop. He loves to work with his hands and fix things. He likes knowing that if he gets his hands dirty and works hard, he can make something work again. He is in really well with the shop owner who lets him work overtime and even bring things in on his own time that need fixing. Tobias plans on buying an old classic car soon and fixing it up, it's always been his dream. He never went to school for automotive or anything but he learns very fast and has picked up a lot through trial and error as well. The shop owner trusts him and has also made him one of the men in charge which for him being so young was quite an accomplishment in itself. Tobias doesn't want to do anything to mess up anything in his life right now so he is keeping himself out of as much trouble as he can. However with a family history of alcoholics and abuse, he has a lot to live up to.
Not even Vanessa knows this but Tobias's father is very abusive when he drinks. When his father gets drunk and comes home, he wants a punching bag. Tobias has taken that role on as of late just to keep his siblings safe. He is the only one really doing anything with his life so he wants to give that opportunity for his family as well, even if that means taking a few punches here or there from his father. His dad doesn't even remember what happened the nights before and always questions how he gets the bruises. One of these days, he is going to have it out with his father but for right now, he is keeping his mouth shut.
