Bethany was born to her mother Emily when she was twenty years old. She thought she was in love with a man who ended up leaving her when she told him she was pregnant. So of course, Bethany has no idea who her 'sperm donor' is and never brings it up with her mother. She knows it was painful as it would be with a girl who just got pregnant with a man whom she thought she loved and loved her back. Only to find out, he was a coward and left at the first sign of trouble. Emily got a job working as a waitress working double overtimes and as many hours as she could pick up just to be able to afford a baby. Bethany grew up in a tiny one bedrom apartment above a bar. It was all her mother could afford but she worked her ass off to give her everything. Bethany loves her mother for every little sacrifice. She gave up her entire life to raise her.
To this day, Bethany doesn't live a luxurious life. She lives on the small income she gets at being a secretary for a law firm. It is ten times as much as her mother ever made however all of her money is saved or given to help care for her mother. You see, Bethany's mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Bethany is trying to pay for her mothers medical bills that are steadily stacking up. However, this is just a fraction of what her mother gave up and did for her when she was growing up so Bethany feels as though she has to do it.
The red head never has time to do anything for herself. She did manage to move her and her mother into a larger two bedroom apartment so they could have more space and each have a room. However, Bethany's life revolves around her work. She despises the women that work at the law firm and the man as well. They throw their money around as if they are made of it. It disgusts her to no end. How can they throw money around like that? There are people in this world who would give anything for just a tiny bit of the money they throw away on useless items. Another thing Bethany vows she will never do is have a child when she is not ready. She wants to be married first before ever thinking of having a child. Not that she doesn't want one but she does not want to put a child through what she went through. Her mother did an amazing job but Bethany knows it was also hell on her.
