520 WORDS | OPEN | TBA | CATWALK INDEED |
And I do my little turn on the catwalk nobody thought that he would be able to do it. when she was at the store buying the harness, the cashier had given her a funny yet judging look like he was thinking ' she seriously thinks she could make this work?' most of the message boards about cats she read online (it was part two of her becoming of a crazy cat lady since she was widowed) had said that no cats really liked it and it was just torture to try and drag them along as they were dogs. even her vet, when she mentioned she wanted to try it, had just shook his head and laughed at her. she had seen the videos and the gifs that mocked the people who tried to do it, yet she was stubborn enough to try it. george was easy to get into the harness, he was a pretty relaxed orange tabby who didn't care if she put him in a dress and liked to play fetch with his little jingle balls. so adalena had shrugged on her coat, strapped the harness on her orange cat and clipped a leash to that harness. it took a little bit of research to find a park that didn't allow dog walking but had no fine print saying that cat walking wasn't allowed either. addie knew that george was fine with dogs but she wasn't sure how dogs would react to him - hell, when she had found him at the shelter he had somehow managed to get out of his cage and was sitting on top of a cage of a very pissed off beagle that was waiting for his future owners. the satisfied look on his face as he purred on top of the cage had sold addie and after a disastrous first date since her husband was killed in action she had wanted to find a friend to make her smile. george had done it tenfold and she wouldn't regret the orange cat; she was sure xris would have, though, because george left orange fur everywhere and she was pretty sure all of her clothes had cat fur. humming to herself (she chose to forego the earphones to make sure she could hear if any dogs came by just in case), addie walked slowly, allowing her cat to sniff at some leaves and trot happily beside her. it was a rare warm and sunny day for the middle of winter and addie was going to enjoy it. finding a clear portion of grass (with no animal feces or bees, she hated bees) addie tugged on the leash, dropped her bag beside her and sat down, allowing george to wander a bit and sniff the large tree she was leaning against. there wasn't enough slack that he could climb very high, so she wasn't concerned. she pulled out a notebook and pen before flipping to a blank page. she needed groceries and getting the right amount for one was hard; she still made enough for two in the hope that maybe, just maybe, miracles would happen and xris would walk through the door. Yeah, on the catwalk, on the catwalk, yeah

| Jeremiah was the ultimate fitness freak. He absolutely loved working and would legit work out 24/7 if he could. His health and fitness was something that was important to him and he hated even going one day without getting a work out squished into his schedule. There was just something about blasting some music into a pair of headphones and pushing himself through an intense or relaxed workout that he really found pleasure out of. He tuned out the rest of the world for the most part during a work out and just kind of got lost in his mind and work out. It was beneficial for him in more ways that one. Not only did it better his health and build muscle, but it also helped clear his head so he could think more clearly. Miah hardly ever just sat down and thought about things, so that's what he really used workout sessions as, especially on his days off.
Today was definitely going to be dedicated on getting back on his normal routine. He had a few days where he was just a lazy slob, eating pizza and lounging around for a little while. Sure, in the moment, all of that laziness felt and sounded great, but Miah felt gross day days after the fact. He never minded having lazy days, but he hated knowing that he was going to have to pay for it later on down the road. So, that's what today was dedicated. He had gone through the gym and already done his more intense work out, so he decide he'd take a jog through the park for kind of a cool down.
Now, in Jeremiah's lifetime, he had seen some pretty weird and interesting things while on and off duty. Like, some of the legit weirdest things that at this point, nothing really come to much surprise. He usually just looked at whatever it was and reacted with a slight shrug before proceeding on with what he needed to do, but this time, he just couldn't convince himself to just walk away from it. During his job, he had caught sight of a young lady walking an animal ahead of him. When he finally took a second to actually look at what she was walking, it almost made him stop dead in his track. It was necessarily weird, but it was more of a shock. he'd seen people walk some pretty weird stuff like goats, ferrets, pigs and so on, but never a cat. It intrigued him.
He walked over to the young lady and cleared his throat to grab her attention. "Uhm, so, I really don't mean to bother you or anything," he started before looking at the cat for a moment and making a face. "Have you trained your cat to walk on a leash?" he inquired, looking at the girl again. he was seriously intrigued and almost fascinated with this. It didn't take much to entertain Jeremiah, but when something unique like this happens, how could you not be entertained?
