With the lights turned down
And your eyes half open
when the light dies - boyce avenue sometimes berlin was surprised by the teenagers who entered his library. the kid he pegged for a stoner, for instance, turned out to be almost as much of a nerd as berlin about beowulf and the quiet little blonde girl turned out to be one of the crazy the-bible-is-the-only-book-worth-reading sort of person. most of the time however, they were pretty predictable. he wasn't surprised as he fished magazines out of the larger textbooks that some students had been pretending to read. sticking the magazines in the nearby recycling bin, he rolled his eyes and re-shelved the books. he wasn't even sure why they tried to pretend - the old grade ten english teacher was about halfway to death and sometimes berlin had to nudge him awake when he took the students down to the library to get some reading books. putting away the last decoy book, he returned over to his desk and glanced around the calm emptiness of the library. only the door that connected to the staff room was unlocked, the main doors were locked during lunch break on fridays and it was used for berlin to tidy the books and then eat his lunch in peace. he was disappointed in a lot of the teenagers who came into his library. they rarely required his recommendations or assistance so most of the time he sat behind his desk, checking out books for the teenagers who deemed them acceptable (and oh my god if he had to check out another copy of twilight and listen to 'how it changed my life' and how it was an amazing piece of literature he would scream). most of the time he'd have his personal laptop open and worked on his thesis to try and kill some of the boredom. he did make decent pay at the school and it gave him steady hours, so he couldn't complain too much. pulling out the bag of food from his backpack and sitting on the comfortable rolling chair behind his desk, he briefly ran his fingers over edison's head as he set aside the second sandwich he had bought. he had an inkling that xander was going to come by and the other man wasn't always the best cook. berlin had taken to making food for him when he made his own lunch. edison was happy with the arrangement, because it meant more bacon was cooked and thus there was usually more spare pieces for the seizure alert dog. edison deserved it. just a few days earlier berlin had a tonic-clonic alone in his apartment and edison had made sure he was rolled over on his side and had his house phone next to him when he came back to awareness. it hadn't been long enough to warrant the need for an ambulance but it still had left him exhausted. he had ended up taking the day off work and had only come back yesterday around lunch. edison nudged him with his foot and gave him the most begging eyes he could ever imagine causing berlin to roll his eyes and pick a piece of bacon off his sandwich for his little golden retriever mooch. xander 530 laters sort of lame, sorry.

And your eyes half open
While Xander did not really enjoy throw-up, the fact that it gave him a break from his students was a plus. He could only assume that the girl was hungover, but because she decided to toss her cookies all over the classroom, the classroom was closed down to be cleaned and the rest of the class was sent to study hall. So, Xander was on his way to the library. It wasn’t as if liked to read very much, but he did enjoy the company of his friend, the librarian. Berlin normally had something for him to snack on as well, so that was a plus. Berlin at least could cook, unlike Xander. His mother was always the cook of the family, and he did not inherit that gene from her in the slightest. Walking with a tiny pep in his step, he reached the library doors and quickly slid in. He was currently trying to avoid a couple of his female students, who were discussing trying to ditch study hall and find him on his break. They always tried to find him outside of class. Poor girls had no idea that he was gay. Well, even if he was straight, he wouldn’t ever do something with one of his students. He was just not that kind of teacher. It was always creepy to hear about the teachers that had relationships with their students. In college it was less creepy, but in high school it was creepy and illegal. Noticing Berlin behind the counter, Xander smiled and crept up behind the desk, putting his hands on Berlin’s shoulder. Hello there. Is that my sandwich? Pointing at the sandwich sitting on the counter, he reached around him and grabbed the sandwich before he got an answer. Even if it wasn’t his, he was going to eat it. How he could eat after seeing puke, he didn’t know. The one thing he did know was that he was starving. Pulling a piece of bacon off, he slipped it to Edison and then jumped on the counter to sit across from Berlin. So, a student threw up in the classroom. I have a whole period off. And I have chosen you to entertain me. Putting half of his sandwich in his mouth, he chewed and laughed a little, hoping that none of the sandwich came out of his mouth. xander enough laters lame

when the light dies - boyce avenue berlin wasn't in the closet about his sexuality. he always preferred males over females - in the first grade when carlotta taylor had play-married james mcquire he had been jealous of carlotta rather than james like the other boys. when his birth father returned...he knew it wouldn't be accepted by him. he figured that he just wouldn't mention it, he didn't want to give another reason for the man to hate him. when he had been in the hospital and dealing with his epilepsy he hadn't really found it important to mention. he had eventually come out to his parents when he was seventeen and they had just smiled and hugged him. he knew, even if they hadn't wanted that sort of life for their son, they would love him anyways. had he stayed with his birth parents, he would probably be dead at his birth father's hands long before he even discovered his sexuality. he had sat down with his dog when he got him and had seriously told him he was gay. edison hadn't cared obviously. it sort of just became something that he took as a fact and didn't really explicitly stay - he would tell people he was gay if they asked but he wasn't going to go announce it. it worked for him. berlin startled as hands touched his shoulders but rolled his eyes and laughed as he leaned back and realized who it was. it shouldn't have surprised him that xander came by, the younger man often journeyed over to hang out with him when he could. he grinned as xander just took the sandwich from the desk. " luckily it is yours." he admitted. " it'd be embarrassing if it wasn't." berlin was already just about done his own sandwich. he had to admit, he made a pretty good sandwich. his specialty in cooking tended more towards pasta and baking but he was damn good at a sandwich. at least, he thought so and by the rate that xander ate them the thought must have been shared. wrinkling his nose, berlin found himself glad that people didn't really puke in the library. sure, some students went to class feeling sick but they didn't usually wander over to the library before throwing up. although he was baffled at how teenagers seemed to puke somewhere in the school on a semi-regular basis. seriously, he pitied the cleaning crew because it seemed every other week some class was shuffled into the study hall because someone had puked and made the classroom a no-go zone. " well that's disgusting. i don't remember people puking much in my high school." the only he remembered was when he had puked, though to be fair that was on his first week back and the combination of pain meds and epilepsy medication had made him sick. " glad to be here for your entertainment." berlin said sarcastically, but he laughed so that the other man knew he wasn't serious - he liked having xander around (and if it was also because he he had a little crush on the other man, he wasn't going to mention it) xander 522 laters sort of lame, sorry.

At least Xander knew that he would always be full when he left the library. It was sort of how the two bonded in the first place. Now it was customary that Berlin bring something extra for Xander, who only brought ramen and easy mac with him to eat when he had lunch duty. Thankfully, he had been taken off of lunch duty completely after the situations that had arisen with some of his students. So, he normally ate his lunch with Berlin in the library. He didn’t mind at all, since Berlin fed him, and he also got a chance to play with Edison. Maybe he would get his own dog for his apartment soon. It could get lonely at night, but Xander didn’t really want some random roommate. He would be okay with a roommate that he knew, but the only person he was still close with in New York was Berlin, and he didn’t want to make things weird by asking Berlin to move in. Plus, he wasn’t sure how Berlin was about certain things, like how clean the house was, or the fact that Xander was gay. He had admitted to it once or twice around Berlin, but he never really saw the reaction from Berlin about it. He didn’t know if Berlin would want to live with someone that was gay. Would it be awkward for him? He didn’t know, but he also refused to dwell on it. Not like it was going to happen or anything. Berlin was comfortable in his own place. It has become a tradition that you feed me every day so I do not have to eat that disgusting stuff that I know is bad for me every day. So I already knew that this sandwich was mine. And part will go to Edison, like it always does. Xander wiggled around on the desk, munching on his sandwich and laughing at Berlin. He could be a really awkward guy, but then again, so could everyone he was close with, so that made it easy. Now if only he could find some way to fix his family life, maybe he wouldn’t have to be so alone. Now, what can we do for fun around here? I could take a bunch of books off the shelves and throw them around. Or we could teach Edison to stand on his hind legs like a real person and do a dance. Xander clapped his hands together and bounced on the desk, reaching for the water bottle he knew would be around somewhere. Of course, he didn’t realize it was already open and dumped it all over his shirt. Damn. Shaking his torso a little, he wrinkled his nose up. Please tell me you have a shirt around here somewhere. I cannot go back to my third period in a soaked, now too tight, tshirt. He had enough problems with the girls in his class. He didn’t need any more. xander enough laters lame

And your eyes half open
when the light dies - boyce avenue berlin wasn't sure when he really started to like cooking. he had started when he was with his biological father, it had been a necessity to survive unless he found a way to nourish himself off of the many bottles of booze around the house. he hadn't really enjoyed it then, it had just been something he had to do. for a long period of time after he was nearly murdered, he hadn't been able to do anything like cooking. when he was in therapy it had became a great way to work with fine motor control. his mother had been hesitant at first, worried about him over the hot flames of the kitchen and the sharp knives. not only because he still had issues from his injuries but also because he knew she worried he would become a risk to himself. it had never really crossed his mind but he could understand her reasoning. so even then, he was cautious about cooking. once he moved out he finally got a bit more freedom and the kitchen and it sort of exploded from there. he found the joys of spices and different cuts of beef and marinating things.
so berlin grinned, because cooking was awesome enough and when it was cooking for a guy he had a thing for (even if he pretended he didn't)? it was pretty great. " you're lucky i like to cook and would rather you don't die from the poison that could very well someday be in the cafeteria cooking." they worked at a decent school but cafeteria cooking always tended to be sub-par at best. he had tried it once when he was hungry and had forgotten his lunch and it had made him remember every time since. grey meat on a flat bun with a bit of a mustard/ketchup mix on the top bun? was not something that berlin planned to eat every day. he didn't really understand why the teenagers liked it but apparently they did because he saw the stupid burger wrappers on the floor of his library far too often even though there was clearly signage that said 'no food allowed'.
berlin gave an over dramatic gasp at the suggestion of messing up his beloved books. he took pride in having a well-organized library despite the best efforts of teenagers in messing it up. " you dare, foul man!" he joked and put his hand to his forehead, faking a faint at the mere idea. okay, he could handle some mess and honestly his place was pretty disorderly but the one thing he kept organized and tidy were his books. he couldn't imagine the horror of ruining his books.
his mind completely stilled as he looked at xander's wet chest. he had beautiful shoulders, and muscles that made berlin want to drool. he quickly averted his eyes half a second to late and grinned at xander. " nice. yeah, i've got a spare." he kept a change of clothes in one of the drawers of his desk just in case he had a seizure and it got messy. opening the drawer, he pulled out a worn blue henley. " this should keep the teenagers from having heart attacks, at least." xander 536 laters whooo.

Xander was quite the klutz, which was demonstrated by the fact that he had dumped water all over himself. Shaking his head, he grabbed the blue shirt from Berlin and gave a wide smile. You are honestly a life-saver. Pulling his own wet shirt over his head, he slipped the new shirt on, keeping the fabric around his nose for a second too long. He couldn’t help taking in the smell of Berlin that lingered on the shirt. He had tried to tell himself that he didn’t have some interest in the school librarian, but he had just been lying to himself. Today was just proof of that. He hated to admit feelings, because most of the time, they were only one-sided. Wiggling in the shirt, he gave a small smirk to his friend. So, you may or may not get this back. It is seriously comfortable. He didn’t know if it was comfortable because it was Berlins or if it was just the shirt. It was probably just the shirt. That was what it had to be. Xander would not admit that he thought Berlin was attractive. Xander was always attracted to men that were out of his league, and Berlin was just that. Leaning backwards, he pulled one of the random books off the shelf that he could only assume was the pile that Berlin had to put back up. He glanced at the title and shuddered. Twilight? Come on. This is terrible. Even I know that, and I never read. That was a tiny lie, but Xander did not really read all that much. Every once in a while, he would try to read at least one novel, but it was normally something that he saw at Berlins place. He liked having things to talk about with Berlin, so he tried to do things that Berlin enjoyed too. The last book that he had picked up was Catcher in the Rye. It wasn’t a bad book at all, and it was one that he had heard Berlin mentioning off-handedly one day while he was restocking the shelves during Xanders lunch break. Putting the book down, he glanced around. Maybe they should just read that 50 Shades of Grey book and get it over with. That, or just read porn. That is all that whole book is anyways. Okay, so maybe Xander had read that book once, or at least just skimmed through it. How could anyone read an entire book about sex? It was just weird to him. Some people enjoyed it though, and that was all that mattered. Except when he caught his students reading it in class and whispering to each other that they would be Ana if he would be Mr. Grey. Which was entirely too awkward to even think about. xander enough laters lame

when the light dies - boyce avenue berlin's brain short circuited when xander's abs came into view as he pulled on the new shirt. he allowed himself a moment to ogle as the shirt was covering xander's face as he pulled it on. he schooled his face back into a friendly smile before xander saw what quite possibly could have been drool from the corner of his mouth. he wasn't totally in love with the young math teacher. edison gave a sound of agreement from below the desk, furthering his point. okay, edison had actually just given a snore having deemed xander had given him all the food he was getting and had settled for his lunchtime nap and the snore had just really good timing, but berlin could pretend. still, he was pretty sure if he was getting that shirt back he'd probably be weird and sniff it before he even washed it and that was sort of creepy. " i'd better get it back, i like that shirt." berlin joked. he did like that shirt but he was pretty sure that xander looked ten times better just by being xander. no wonder so many of his students were in love with him. berlin shuddered at the black cover of the dreaded vampire book that he saw far too often in his library. no wonder some students failed english given that they believed twilight was great literature. one student had even been offended when they realized that twilight wasn't on the poster of classic literature that berlin had on one of the library walls. berlin had barely been able to provide a rebuttal to that argument because he had just been flabbergasted that a sixteen year old actually believed that was true. " ugh, that blasted book. they really need to remove the copies from the library, it ruins the student's minds but apparently i'm not allowed to throw books out just because they're terrible if they've been donated." he rolled his eyes dramatically and pushed the book away. he had read it, when a book gained the popularity that twilight did he felt obligated to read it, and had been completely puzzled at why it was so popular when the writer's main character was flat and dull and even worse, vampires sparkled. seriously, who thought that their twist on the vampires-can't-go-in-sunlight trope was that the vampires sparkled. he rooted for the shifters because vampires almost deserved to be attacked if they sparkled like a disco ball. what a poor predator. berlin sighed and replied to xander with a fact he knew and sort of wish he didn't " fifty shades is based on a twilight fanfiction so it really isn't much better. and like we need to give teenagers any more reason to be horny." teenagers were walking hormones. plus, fifty shades displayed poor bdsm practices and berlin wasn't sure that was a safe thing to do. not that berlin was really into bdsm - he didn't mind being tied up but that was about it and oh god stop thinking about sex with the guy you're totally crushing on siting by you.xander 515 laters whooo.

Xander didn’t really understand why he could be so clumsy sometimes. He had a fantastic grip on that water bottle, and then he dumped it all down himself. The same thing would happen when he was home too. There were a couple of mystery stains on the carpet of his apartment that he knew he was going to have to pay for whenever he finally moved out. It wasn’t as if that was going to happen anytime soon. He didn’t plan to move out until he was ready to buy a house, and he didn’t plan on buying a house until he had someone to move into said house with. He didn’t know when that would happen, but he did hope at some point that he would be in a steady and stable relationship that he could move into a place with a man that he cared for. Laughing a little bit as he was brought back into the conversation, he nodded. ”Okay, maybe I will give it back. But I plan to get a great deal of wear out of it first. Maybe I will find some student that has the hots for you and sell it to her.” Obviously, he was kidding, because he didn’t plan to give up this shirt to just anyone.
Glancing around the library, Xander picked up the copy of Twilight and slid it into his bag that was on the floor. Smirking, he put his finger to his mouth, as if shushing Berlin. ”No one will know. And that means that no one will be able to check it out again to read it. Slowly but surely, I will rid this entire library of the terrible literature of today’s youth, just for you!” Giving Berlin a sweet smile, he had to now decide what he planned to do with his new acquired book. Maybe he would roast marshmellows over it. That sounded delicious, but he would need a fire pit, and more terrible books to be able to have a bonfire with them. Well, he was sure that he could come up with a couple more terrible books to add to his list sooner or later.
Most likely, he wouldn’t tell Berlin that he was burning books. Even if they were terrible books, he didn’t think that Berlin would approve of him burning literature. He couldn’t help but give Berlin a little sideways glance. ”It worries me that you actually know that, Berlin. Maybe you will just have to tell me all about this book at some point.” Xander already knew what it was about, but he could only imagine how bright-faced Berlin would get trying to explain the different sex scenes to him. He wondered if Berlin was a virgin. Oh lord, that was not something to think about when he was sitting right next to him. Glancing down, he saw Edison jump to his feet, and he could only look worried. Edison was not a jumpy dog, nor was he one to get up unless he had to.

when the light dies - boyce avenue berlin laughed at xander. " i don't think any of the students have hots for me when you're around." he was serious, comparing the two? no wonder xander had a frequent amount of student admirers. berlin could understand those admirers too - xander was a handsome man. a headache started to form but he ignored it, he had some advil in his bag if it got any worse but headaches weren't a big deal. he chuckled again once twilight went into the bookbag. it wasn't a real loss, he could just write it off as 'missing' and the school wasn't going to replace it with numerous other copies floating around the school. even if it was the only one they would probably just ignore it even with student requests and tell berlin that the budget couldn't be stretched. he was pretty sure that he could buy a decent number of books with the amount they spent on the new uniforms for the soccer team but he wasn't the type to bite the hand that feeds him. these people controlled his paycheque so he couldn't criticize their choices. he was mildly concerned how his colleague was planning on disposing of the books, the idea of destroyed books made him sad, but he decided the wiser choice was just to not even ask. berlin blushed and then rubbed his forehead, trying to fight off the headache. " i swear, i just heard of it from someone but i haven't..." he trailed off as he looked down at edison. the dog was normally pretty relaxed. he preferred to nap when berlin was working and only really got super excited when he was going out for a walk or a play with his favourite tennis ball. edison nudged at his leg and whined and berlin furrowed his brow as the headache got worse. he stood and edison whined at him more, nipping at his ankles and he automatically bent down slightly before he realized " oh shit." he gasped out. now, seizures vary person to person. berlin had spoken to other epileptics, those who had them from birth to those who had similler injuries to his that caused them. for berlin, the grand mals were awful. he felt as his body tensed and he fell forward, edison seemed to know to nudge him so he rolled onto his back (it wasn't their first rodeo) before all of his muscles seized and his eyes rolled back. he could feel them moving in the sockets and his muscles seemed to jerk with every roll. things went dark for a little while and from what he had heard from people who witnesses his seizures, he convulsed and his skin tended to pale. his mother had told him once that the worst part was the sound of his body hitting the floor mixed with the choked gasps for air. for berlin, it was just a loss of consciousnesses that was usually welcomed after seconds of intense pain as his muscles constricted and tensed as he seized. awareness returned slowly and berlin automatically rolled on to his side into recovery position, grateful for his muscle memory because he wasn't entirely sure why he was on the ground. he was sore and oh god he was in the library with xander. shit. he groaned as he opened his eyes, tired and feeling edison's body lined against his back supporting him. shit, xander saw that. his pants felt dry, that was good. god he was tired. no, he had to work. but..sleep. he reached a hand up in an attempt to rub his face and wake up. xander 603 laters whooo.

Xander shook his head. Maybe if you left the library every once in a while, more of the student body would know that you exist. And then they would all want you. I would have to fight off my students with a stick. Of course, he was kidding with Berlin, but that didn’t mean that he was lying about Berlin being attractive. He was a sweet and caring person, which only made him more attractive. Xander knew that he had seizures, but that didn’t make him less attractive. It was just something that had to be taken in with him. He wasn’t afraid of it, he just had to know that they could happen. But would Xander be prepared for one of Berlins seizures? He didn’t know. He was a jittery person when it came to his friends well being. They had taught him about seizures in his first aid class that was mandated for him to teach in the area. He was just supposed to make sure they were on their back, on a flat surface, and away from anything that they could hit and hurt themselves. Watching Edison freak out, Xander could only assume that something was wrong. Did Edison need to go to the bathroom? Xander could take him outside, if Berlin didn’t want to move. He noticed that Berlin had been rubbing his head, and the gasp brought him out of his thinking and into what was going on. Berlin was having a seizure. Shit. What do I do? He jumped down from the counter, staring at Berlin, and then at Edison like the dog was supposed to just start talking and tell him what to do. He watched Berlin fall to the ground and saw Edison turn him over to his back. Xander grabbed the chair that Berlin was sitting in and pushed it away from him so that he wouldn’t hit against it and hurt himself. Getting down onto Berlins level, he watched his body convulse and he felt a knot forming in his stomach. The worst part about all of this was that he couldn’t do anything to help him. He just had to let him ride it out and come back to his senses when he was finished. Pulling his cell phone out, he called the front office to alert them that Berlin was having a seizure, and as soon as he came to, Xander was going to take him home. They would need to find a substitute for his class, because there was no way in any form of hell that Xander was going to let Berlin stay at work, nor was he going to let him go home alone. Xander finally let a small breath out when he saw Berlin roll to his side, with Edison laying behind him. Xander reached a hand out and slowly ran it through Berlins hair. I have already called the office. I’m going to take you back to my apartment so you can rest. You can’t stay here, and I won’t let you stay at your place alone. He would wait for Berlin to gain a little more of his consciousness back before he tried to move him from the library and to his car to take him back to his small, slightly messy, apartment. He would take care of Berlin, whether he wanted him to or not. xander enough laters lame

And your eyes half open
when the light dies - boyce avenue the first time berlin had a grand mal seizure it had been terrifying. well okay, it wasn't really his first. he had apparently had some while he was in a coma, but he wasn't awake then. the first time he had an awake grand mal had still been in the hospital. he had only been awake and alert for a few days and had been visiting with his mother who had hardly left the room since they found him and his father was at work with plans to return to them the second he got off. berlin knew the extent of the damages his father had caused and the possibility of epilepsy coming from his brain injury however he had been hoping the seizures had ended when he awoke from the coma and demonstrated he was still in full collection of his mental facilities. so he had been talking to his mother and had gotten a killer headache, not at all unusual since his head was still covered in bandages but the fact that he had felt his eyes roll into his head, heard his mother's scream as his muscles tensed. he hadn't even been aware for much of it, had lost consciousness soon after it started, but he had woken up with a nurse holding him on his side and a doctor checking his vital signs and the horrible feeling of wetness on his legs. so he wasn't a stranger to seizures. they had become better with time for him to handle. he had enough experience both alone and with edison on how to make sure he fell properly to prevent injury and his body was pretty good at remembering how to get himself into the recovery position without needing anyone's assistance. this one wasn't even as bad as some of his others, he felt tired but it wasn't the bone-deep, unbearable exhaustion that came with seizures that lasted more than a minute. he was dry and he didn't feel any pain from injuries, only from sore muscles that had seized. give him a half hour to lay down and recover and he'd be fine to make his way home eventually. probably wasn't good to drive though, he would have to find his bus pass because he'd be damned if he was going on a handydart again, those were embarrassing and unnecessary for him even if it was possibly suggested after a seizure. no, he was just going to go home and get some rest. berlin shook his head with monumental effort when what xander said reached him. god, this was embarrassing. " no, s'fine, i can bus." he slurred, his voice was never good just after a seizure especially when he just wanted to curl up in a ball and fall asleep. " jus' gimme an hour and i can work." he insisted, even if he knew the idea wasn't his best, he hated missing work. he didn't want to put out xander either. xander 495 laters whooo.

With the lights turned down
And your eyes half open
Xander had no idea what to do as his friend lay shaking on the floor. He did the only thing that he knew to do, and that was call for help. Not medical help, just some help in general. He knew that Berlin wasn’t going to agree to leave work peacefully, so he would have to convince him otherwise. He had never seen one of Berlin’s seizures, but he was about 85% sure that he didn’t need to be working after he had one. He could only assume that was a rather bad one, but it didn’t make him feel any safer about seeing a small one or a large one. They were still seizures, and he still had no idea what to do to help Berlin. He didn’t think there was anything he could do. His training told him to just let Berlin ride the seizure out. Sighing as he saw Berlin come to, he shushed him as he tried to talk and ran a hand through his hair. ”You know I am not a big fan of liars. You are not fine. And you are coming home with me so I can keep an eye on you. Front office already knows. Now, I am going to pick you up. I can only assume that since your speech is slurred, walking is not an option for you right now.” Putting his feet underneath him, he put his arms around Berlin’s back and took one arm and put it around his neck. His demeanor had changed completely. He had gone from silly to serious in a matter of seconds. HE was sort of reminding himself of how he sounded in class when they got out of hand. This was a serious matter, and it called for Xander to be serious. Giving Edison a look, he stood up and started towards the door. He knew Berlin wasn’t going to be happy about this later, but he couldn’t exactly argue with him right now, and that was what Xander was going for. He would just come back for his stuff and Berlin’s things later, since his arms were full right now. Now, he wished that he would have cleaned his apartment up this morning. It was currently full of take-out boxes and piles of dirty laundry that he just didn’t have the chance to clean up yet. Between teaching and coaching, he didn’t always have a lot of free time, and doing laundry and cleaning was not high up on his to-do list.
