KAIDEN BRADY SANDERS

kaiden jamie sanders was bought into this world ten weeks premature, making his birthday to be august twenty-first. he was born with a genetic heart defect that he got from his father's side of the family. having the heart defect, he was sent into immediate surgery to fix the hole that was in his heart. after a long, stressful night of trying to save the boy's life, the surgery was successful and kaiden was on the road to recovery. having this situation happen to him made him the center of attention by everyone. growing up being the center of attention was something he didn't like after a while. it affected both him and his brother, Vincent. kaiden was always given these big extravagant birthdays every year to celebrate his life, but he never really knew why his parents celebrated his birthdays so much, but he went with it, because, hey! present, cake, and a bouncy castle. who would complain about that? growing up, kaiden quickly started picking up on his mother's personality and traits, and he soon started to act like her and take on a lot of her same interests. his father, on the other hand, he hadn't found much of the same interests and felt that he was being too much for a hardass, and he starting thinking like this from a young age, caused also by his mother's own outlook on her husband. both of his parents were extremely different. his mother was a free spirit and believed in living now with how she wanted and doing what she wanted. she wanted to live each day like it was her last; she wanted excitement and adventures in her life! she always went with the flowed and never did much planning; she just let things play out with how they did. she was a motorcycle enthusiast and a complete and total badass in kaiden's eyes. his father was completely different, however. he was always planning for the future and being ultra persistent, planning out every second of both his own life as well as his two sons. he was rough on the boys while the were young; he wanted them to become successful in the future and wanted to work hard towards his own goal: his business. he wanted the boys to grow up and become the owners and keep the business alive after he had passed. kaiden never looked up to his father; as a matter of fact, he honestly resented his father. he felt like his father was so determined to make his boys grow up so fast that kaiden never really got to enjoy his childhood - or rather, have a childhood.
since kai was always more like his mother, he always was hanging around her and learning about her life and her interests. he picked up on how she was and started the same path that she did; by the age of fourteen, he was already piing up on her habits when she was young and he started skipping school. he started having around with some sketchy kids and getting involved with them. he never had really good grades, but what grades he did have, were dropping like flies. this was also the time that he picked up his first cigarette. not exactly the best time for kaiden, here. this started a domino affect with his family. shortly after his father found out about his failing grades and the groups of kids he was hanging out with, he started having a fit and refused to have kaiden be running around, threatening the sanders name with this negative type of behavior. while gabriella agreed that he shouldn't be getting into such trouble, she didn't agree with the fact that he was restricting him for living his life. this caused many fights and soon, a divorce. the parents approached the kids in a very... unexpected manner and made them decide who they were going to stay with. of course, kaiden chose to stay with his mother and soon, he and his mother were packing up to move in with his aunt, uncle-in-law, and cousin.
after the divorce, it hadn't changed much of kaiden's behavior, but both he and his mother didn't mind it much. they were on their own and could live their life how they wanted. they had their fun and did what the pleased. kai still hung out with them some sketchy kids, still skipping school, and still smoked, but now he was getting into fight. it was different now because it really couldn't affect the sander family, or so he thought. however, after the divorce, kaiden and his brother, vince, had become estranged to each other. any meet up that they had was awkward. he seemed so much like their father that it was just odd being around vince nowadays. he still loved his brother, but it was just different. he was almost an exact replica of Dawson, he felt like.
after years had passed, he graduated high school, just barely passing his classes. it was in his junior year that he got together with his high school sweetheart, Chelsea. they met during freshmen year and got close, but finally started dating during their junior year. kaiden was madly in love with her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and she said she felt the same way. nobody really ever approved of Chelsea and was awaiting the end of their relationship so that he could move on, but that didn't happen. it was after about two years of their relationship that they eloped to las vegas. the newly weds thought this would be the best option for them since they both new that their parents didn't approve and wouldn't let them doing it even if they had asked. when they returned to new york to inform their parents of their wedding and how there wasn't anything they could do, you wouldn't believe the anger and wrath that each family had for the two. but it didn't matter, the two little love birds were wedded and they were happy... for a while.
years and years later, life changed and things happened. kaiden's father died of a stroke, leaving kaiden's older brother the CEO of the company. during this time, kaiden took his time to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher, later getting a job at the local college as an English professor.
