BERLIN DEAN MAESTRO

o this handsome man is berlin dean maestro. he's twenty-six years young and currently works as a librarian at the local high school because he wanted the extra time to work on his phd thesis. he double-majored in his bachelors in library science and english, has a master in english (with a focus on medieval literature) and is working on his phd in english (same focus as masters). berlin has epilepsy caused from a traumatic brain injury when he was fourteen when his father tried to kill him. this causes him to have tonic-clonic (seizing, 'major' seizures) usually once a week (once every two weeks if he sticks on his medication), myoclonic seizures (which cause muscle spasms/seizures that can make him drop things/leg collapse) fairly frequently and atonic seizures (falling and tensing up for roughly fifteen seconds) once a week as a minimum. however, a happy moment is that he has a seizure alert dog, edison, who is a golden retriever with an addiction to bacon that goes with him everywhere and gives him independence. berlin himself is a real sweetheart. he loves just relaxing with some friends (he doesn't really have too many right now..) and playing piano. he also enjoys taking edison for walks and just enjoying not having to live with his parents (adoptive parents, technically). so as i said, berlin never had many friends. when he left his old school when he was twelve and was sent to live with his abusive biological father he closed himself off and didn't make any friends. when he was released from months in the hospital at fourteen and returned to his high school he was widely regarded as some sort of freak once they witnessed a seizure. it's led him to be fairly reserved when he just meets people. one way to make him talk is to ask about edison though, berli could talk hours about his dog. so i want him to have some friends who can help him open up and be, well, friendly to him. and for lovers, berlin is gay and technically he's out (his parents know) but he doesn't really announce it to everyone. he prefers to keep to himself. for a mate for dear berlin, they need to be fairly open-minded and can make berlin loosen up a little - he needs to chill. he didn't date in high school but the time period of twenty-three to now could have one or two past boyfriends. i can't really imagine flings though, berli isn't like that. also his final is set, so be aware. okay well it's sort of hard to think of enemies for berlin because he's fairly quiet and reserved to strangers. he isn't the type of guy to beat people up in a bar or anything. um..i seriously have trouble thinking of enemies so it'd be cool if you could figure something out because cace loves drama.
