Dash had finally asked Bethany out on a real date. it was a strange experience for him, since it was a real date, not one he was forced on or one that he could guarantee that it would end at his place. but, it was a nice simple date to the skating rink in central park. it was a weekday, and schools were still in session, he hoped it wouldn't be so crowded. he hadn’t been ice staking in forever and he was actually very excited about it. he picked her up directly up after work, well he had actually not been at work that day, but instead had been in classes all day taking exams. he got home and changed quickly into something that was nice but comfortable. he knew he sounded like a girl, but he wanted this girl to like him. he wasn’t used to that either. it was important what she thought about him. when he finally got to her place, he actually drove this time, because he didn’t want someone opening the door for him or her, he wanted to do that for her.
he got out at her place and walked up to her door and knocked. it was nice out, well as nice at new york was in the middle of the winter. but, he was prepared. he knocked swiftly on the door with a grin on his face when she opened it. he escorted her to his 1969 for mustang boss 429; maybe it was too much, but he loved his car. after they came back from the building he helped her in, before jumping to his side and starting it up again. he drove downtown to the skating rink, of course he had to park outside of the central park boundaries and they had to walk, but he was okay with that. when they got in and he paid for their admission and got their skates. he looked around at the smooth ice. as he thought, there were only a few other skaters. he glanced down at her with a small grin and a wink. he was a pretty decent skater, he hadn't been in a few years, but he was pretty sure he would still do it. he felt giddy about all of this. man, what was up with him? he wasn’t sure how he was just so excited about the skating, but he knew that it wasn’t the activity but who he was spending it with.
he walked with her to a small bleacher to get their skates on, he was glad that people weren’t here, sure there were a few, but it was less crowded than it normally was. he couldn’t help but think how much fun it would be to bring the kids out here, a few hours of fun. he needed to get himself back into thinking about the date, not everything else. he skillfully laced his skates up and sat there waiting patiently for her. he helped her up before he wobbled to the ice. he carefully stepped out onto the ice still holding her hand. he had a boy-like grin spread over his face. he was going to enjoy himself and he hoped that Bethany would also. he got his balance on his skates before he moved tentatively out away from the side of the ice rink. he wasn't sure how she was at ice skating. but he wouldn't complain if he had to hold her until she got comfortable. |

BETHANY NEWTON | | Bethany was so nervous. Dash, her bosses son, had officially asked her out on a date. She was more nervous than she had ever been before and she honestly wasn' t sure why. Dash was such a nice man and stuck up for her when his father let his mouth run about her. The last time she had seen him however was at the office a few days ago. She knew he had classes and so most of the time that was where he probably was. Unlike her, he was going somewhere with his life. He was going to be a lawyer. Bethany was jealous of him, not in a bad way or anything, but that he could go to school and do what he wanted to do. Bethany was stuck here, working as a secretary just to earn some money. Most of the money would go to pay for her mothers doctor bills. But she wasn't going to tell anyone that, it was her own business and she didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her.
Quickly making her way home, as quick as you could when you rode on the subway, Bethany sprinted up the stairs to her and her mothers small apartment. Her mother was in her room probably sleeping so she made sure to be quiet. She threw off her work clothes even though they probably would have worked for where ever Dash was goign to take them but she didn't want to have work clothes on. She put on a cute purple long sleeved sweater and a black frilly coat over the top. For pants she put on some black faux leather pants and then some high black boots went over those. Hey, she could look sexy when she wanted to. For her hair she curled as good as she could, which wasn't saying much as she never curled her hair but it didn't look too bad.
Hereing a knock on her door made her jump slightly. Oh god, he was here. Nervous was definiately an understatement now. She grabbed her purse and coat and sprang to the door. she couldn't help but be excited as well. Her stomach had butterflies. When she opened the door she saw Dash smiling on the other side. Bethany couldn't help but smile back. "Hey Dash, I'm almost ready." She did a quick look around the apartment and eyed the note for her mom that she left, explaining where she was and not to be worried. "Okay, I think I'm ready." She smiled, her heart racing in her chest. She hooked her arm in his as they made their way down to the car. She wasn't sure if she should do that but it seemed like a good idea. When they got down to where he had parked her gasped. "Is it... is it yours?" She was obviously impressed by the older muscle car. They were actually one of her favorites. "It's beauitful." He walked her over to the side of the car and helped her in, she giggled. It wasn't often she was helped into a car by such a handsome man.
Bethany wondered where they were going. He didn't really tell here where they would be going so she took it as it was a suprise. They headed towards central park and found a parking spot. She looked over at Dash with a raised brow. "Are we going for a walk?" She asked playfully. Oh goodness, what was wrong with her? She was being all flirtatious and normally she was shy. Dash had something about him that made her feel comfortable with him. Still she was very nervous and her heart was still racing. She could feel her cheeks get warm. She walked beside him, her arm laced in his again, looking out at the beautiful park. Central park was one of her favorite places to go in the summer time. She never really went there during the winter though so when they got close and she saw the skating rink, she grinned. "It's beautiful." It really was. With the sun falling behind the horizon, the lights around the rink made it look like it had it's own stars. There were only a few other skaters so it wouldn't be super crowded while they were there. She looked over at Dash, who was smiling and gave her a wink. She giggled and blushed.
Dash went to pay for them and grab their skates and then they both walked over to the bleachers to put the skates on. Bethany had only ever ice skated once before and she didn't do it very long as she was on her butt more then she was on her feet. Maybe he could be there to support her. The thought made her blush. Why did she trust this man so much? It wasn't like they had really ever gone on a date before. He wasn't her boyfriend or anything, not yet anyway. She may have thought about that before. Bethany took his hands and he helpd her up. It was strange standing on the blades of the skates. They both walked oddly to the ice and Dash got on first and followed him onto the ice. She gripped onto his arms tightly as she tried to gain her balance. "I am sorry, I'm not very good at this." She blushed and gave him a small smile as she concentrated on not falling.

Dash was pretty excited about all of it. He didn’t care that his father would disapprove, that only made everything that much better for him. He was worried when she saw the car though, he knew everyone at the firm believed he was a spoiled rich kid that was just a rebel against daddy because he wanted attention, which wasn’t Dash at all. The nice clothes, car, and other things that he basically given didn’t help his case at all. He relaxed when she seemed okay with it. He heard her giggle and couldn’t help but chuckle quietly at her.
Dash couldn’t help but grin when she tried to guess what was happening, what they were doing. Oh no, he wanted to surprise her. He wanted to see her face when she saw the skating rink. He hoped she liked ice skating or was at least willing to go skating with him. He grinned at her flirty behavior, he could get used to that. He liked Bethany already, she was fun to be around and she was adorable. He grinned a bit more when she linked her arm with his. He tightened his arm with her’s. they weren’t far, soon enough they rounded a corner and he heard her words, feeling very proud about his words. He grinned proudly, looking down at her, seeing her blush and hearing her giggle only made her grin more.
Dash got on the ice and found his rhythm easily. He had played plenty of sports in his childhood and teens, his very early twenties and one of those sports had been ice hockey. Ice skating was a bit different in feel how the skates were, but it was easy enough. He didn’t mind her tight grip on her arms and he tried to support her, pulling her a bit closer to him. He grinned lightly at her words and her blush. ”Don’t be sorry…” he said with a smirk, that was suddenly playful. Maybe he had a hidden motive bringing her ice skating. He was more than willing to hold her all night, or as long as it took her to get her balance on the ice… he would be very willing to hold her constantly.
He carefully moved them away from the side of the rink, maneuvering easily on the ice, pushing both of them along. He carefully snaked one of his arms around her waist, his other resting lightly with one of her arms, just in case she wanted to reach out and take his hand. He held her tight enough to ensure she wouldn’t fall and that she help comfortable and safe that she wouldn’t fall, but she could easily pull away from him if she was uncomfortable with him holding her. He was enjoying himself already.

BETHANY NEWTON | | Bethany had never really gone out with a guy like Dash. He was so different then the guys she normally went out with. However, something about Dash made her feel almost special. She would admit that no other man had opened the door for her to their car. It was super sweet. Dash really had a charm about him. She was trying not to let herself get too caught up in everything though. She knew what her mother went through when it came to men and having to raise and child all on her own. Bethany didn't know Dash quite well enough to really know whether or not she could trust him. She wanted to so bad though and it was hard for her to not stray from what she always believed. But ever since Dash had come into her life, things were changing and for what seemed to be for the better.
Bethany saw the grin on his face when she asked where they were going. A suprise huh? She grinned back, this was exciting and he made it so cute and fun. Thoughts ran through her mind on what they were going to be doing. She was happy he didn't push her away when she linked arms with his. Being just that much closer to him was nice. She didn't get too close, not yet, this was only their first actual date and she didn't want to put out the wrong signal or anything. Bethany felt him tighten his grip around her arm and she blushed. Did he like it just as much as she did? When she saw the rink, she smiled and so did he. She was suprised, she was expecting this.
After getting her skates secure, she nervously pushed herself up onto her feet, taking his hands. When he got onto the ice, he looked much more comfortable than Bethany did. She was nervous. She didn't want to fall and wanted to be graceful on her skates, however, graceful and Bethany never really went hand in hand. But holding onto Dash helped and he didn't seem to mind the white knuckled grasp she had on his jacket. It was such an odd sensation to not have control over her feet. Dash pulled her closer to him, which Bethany did not object. She saw the grin he had on his face and she gave a playful frown, "Don't be sorry,..." He smirked and she couldn't help but smile. He was contagious.
She felt him begin to move them away from the side of the rink, maneuvering them easily across the ice. Bethany felt his arm go around her waist and she didn't fight it, but instead almost welcomed it. She was close to him, they were facing each other, with his arm around her waist. She let herself look up at him, of course he was taller then her. All of a sudden her mind went rampent, gazing at his face. He truly was beauiful. Never in a million years would she say that because of course men don't like to be called beautiful but she could help it. She looked quickly away before he could notice her gaze on him and almost moved too fast as she lost her footing and fell into his arms. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I hope I didn't hurt you?" Her voice apologetic, hoping she didn't step on anything or grab anything too hard. She blushed again. Of course she was thankful he had a good hold of her but she wanted to be close to him.

Dash grinned softly at the woman, this was going to be too much fun, he knew that now. He couldn’t help but hold her close to him, maybe he was enjoying this too much already. It wasn’t right how attached he was to her already. He knew that people could tell too, especially his siblings who knew of her, or the twins who knew her and talked about her constantly. He had been in a better mood since he met her. He was smiling a little more, but only around her for now. His family frowned upon happiness. Well.. except his siblings. He wasn’t really paying much attention, easily pushing them around the rink, positioning himself so he would be skating backwards, instead of her. He knew it would be easier for her to skate forward than for her to skate backwards. He was a little thrown off when she fell into his arms, he recovered quickly. His arms tightening around her. He grinned softly, hearing her question and the tone.. ”Trust me, you didn’t hurt me..” He said, his own tone deepening slightly. He grinned a little more, seeing the blush come up on her cheeks.
”You can fall into me anytime you want.. I don’t mind.” he said, his grin widening and he even added a little wink at the end of his words. Okay, so he could be a flirt sometimes, but he didn’t think that she would mind that much. She was blushing and smiling with him, she didn’t mind that he was holding her so close. He might even wager that she liked him a little bit. He could admit to himself, and only to himself, that he already liked her. He knew it was bad that he already liked her. This was only their first date and it had just started. But, he also knew that because the twins met her, and absolutely loved her, that it was going to be easy to like her. She was beautiful, and nice, adorable, and he was infatuated with her already.
He couldn’t help but watch her as they skated. He glanced around only a few times, mostly to make sure he wasn’t going to back into anyone. He kept his eyes on her mostly, not in a creepy kind of way. He couldn’t even make it all away around the rink, before he leaned forward slowing down a little and kissed her softly. His arms held her closer, holding her close, he waited a few beats before he pulled away. Now it was his turn to blush. It was very faint and it could easily be pulled off as the flush from the cold weather or the exertion from the skating. He couldn’t say anything, he wasn’t sure why. It was just a kiss right? He was beginning to think that it wasn’t. Maybe she wasn’t the type of girl that kissed on the first date… Maybe she was a three dates kind of girl. He didn’t know, and suddenly she was a little worried she was going to slap him. |

BETHANY NEWTON | | It was like she was on cloud nine. What girl wouldn't be while being on a date, in this mans arms? She didn't know what was wrong with her but something about this man had her completely infatuated. But why? She didn't know him all that well yet. Then again, thats what going on dates was suppose to be for right? This mans smile literally gave her chills. It was rediculous really how he had such an affect on her but she wasn't saying she didn't like it but she had to be strong. Bethany had heard some of the rumors flying around the office and some of them she didn't like. But, they couldn't be true could they? Dash wasn't like that, he wouldn't just use her to piss off his dad would he? She wouldn't let it bother her, yet. When they were together, he seemed happy and comfortable.
She gasped a little when she slipped and fell into his arms even more, glad that he caught her. Bethany felt his arms tighten around her, holding her close. He grinned at her and she literally melted into his arms even more. God that damn smile. "Trust me, you didn't hurt me..." He was enjoying this way too much. But then again, so was she. Being in his arms gave her a sense of safety but also a feeling she didn't feel very often. It was a feeling that made her blush she thinking about. Damnit cheeks, stop that.
"You can fall into me anytime you want...I don't mind." His tones, his smile, oh lord. She was a goner. The wink was the icing on the cake, and her cheeks turned an even deeper pink. Could he already have this much of an affect on her already? It was crazy thinking that this man, her boss's son, already had a place in her heart. It was hard for her to completely comprehend at that moment as so many things were going through her mind. Like the fact that she was so close, being held to him tightly. She took in a breath, smelling him. He smelled so good. Bethany let her eyes close for just a moment as she took in his smell and opened her eyes again, almost in a daze. Jesus Bethany, get a grip on yourself.
Bethany couldn't even feel them skating anymore. It was more like they were floating in the air. She looked around for a moment and then back into his eyes. His eyes were beautiful, so easy to get lost in, which was exactly what had happened. Before she even knew what was happening, Dash was leaning down and kissed her softly. She felt him pull her closer and she kissed him back. Oh how she wanted to continue to kiss him but he pulled away for a few moments. She saw the faint pink in his cheeks. Was he blushing? She smiled sweetly, watching him for a few moments, deciding on what she should do. But it was as if her body and mind had gone without even letting her decide for herself. She reached up and put her hands around his neck and pulled herself upto him again and kissed him. It was a sweet gentle kiss at first but she wanted it to be more. What the hell was wrong with her? This wasn't normally what she would do on a date, especially a first date. However, she couldn't help herself, she wanted to kiss him so bad. She needed it.

Dash couldn’t help but laugh deeply at the blush that seemed to be a permanent fixture of her cheeks. He liked it. He liked her. He felt like an idiot, knowing what everyone was saying, but he didn’t care what they thought or said. He didn’t care what his father said, or his mother.. no one, well except Bethany and his siblings. He was already enjoying himself immensely, it was rather amazing actually. He liked holding her so close. He could get used to this and he was afraid that he was already so used to it.
The kiss was something that he couldn’t help. It was just so tempting. She tempted him very easily and he knew just by the kiss that he was done for. He was more than a little shocked when not only did she kiss him back, but she looked up at him so sweetly, he had never experienced that look before and it confused him for a moment. If he was shocked the first time, the second time through him off even more. It was a sweet kiss, in the beginning at least.
He carefully wrapped his arms even tighter around her, making sure no space would come between them. This was not exactly first date material… well…. For normal people he supposed. He wasn’t exactly a good guy, in the terms that the women that either came after him or he went after were good. This was normal for him, only because the women that he found himself around didn’t care. He knew that Bethany wasn’t like the typical girl that he found himself in the company of. That’s why he had to pull himself away, out of that moment. He knew that if he didn’t, that he would have a harder time stopping himself. He didn’t want to screw this up by pushing too hard and too fast. He gave her a sheepish crooked grin, glancing around, feeling at least somewhat decent that people weren’t around them. ”We better save something to do later…” he teased, ”This is all that I have planned for us… is the skating..” he said with a chuckle, hoping that he didn’t disappoint too much. He hoped she realized that he was doing all of this for her benefit, well mostly, he didn’t want to come off as a pushing jerk, forcing her into anything. Plus, he had a strong feeling that this wasn’t A-typical first date material for her.

Winter Wonderland you had me at hello. Bethany enjoyed his laugh. It was carefree and honest while they were together and that made her feel good. It didn't seem as though he was forcing it but was just letting it out. She wasn't really sure why, but she could already feel herself falling for this man. Oh she was in deep that was for sure. There was no escaping her feelings now and in a way that scared her. What if things didn't work out? what if he decided she wasn't worth his time? Bethany was only a secretary after all. However, feeling him pull her in closer felt like a good sign. She wanted to feel this way towards him but she was scared of letting him know how she felt.
When her lips touched Dash's, it was like electricity. She felt the warmth of his lips against her much cooler ones and got chills, good chills of course. Bethany wasn't sure where that burst of courage had come from but she was glad it happened. She had pulled herself up closer to his face and closer to his body. Oh how this was just the perfect moment. It was probably the best moment in her life right now. Bethany was tempted to let her tongue play with his but seh didnt', not yet, even if she wanted to very badly. She had to restrain herself. What was happening to her? This wasn't like her to make out with a man on the first date. Dash did something to her though. Oh boy was she in trouble.
Bethany felt his arms wrap around her. Oh goodness, the feeling of him being so close was amazing. She could feel the warmth of his body next to hers. She was thankful for that actually. It was quite chilly out and her cheeks and tip of her nose were pink from the cold as well now. The red head couldn't help but smile as Dash's crooked grin. Oh he was just so damn cute. "We better save something to do later...This is all that I have planned for us...is the skating." Bethany tilted her head back and smiled, "Well then.." being brave again, she reached up and kissed him lightly and then pulled away, her eyes locked on his, "Maybe we should find someplace warmer to continue?" She grinned, "Unless you want to keep skating?" She giggled and pulled away from him, her skates slowly sliding away from him. Would he pull her back into him?
