* a cold starved hand
tangles me over what i deserve
A long day at work often led him to the nearest bar, or at least a bar of some kind. Really, some of the people that he came into contact with on a day to day basis made him want to keep a bottle of something in his office - but he was professional enough to keep sober while on the job. But as soon as his last appointment was over and done for for the day he was out that door, never looking back. Until the next working day when he'd go right back in that door and get back to work, telling people how to and how not to spend their money - honestly there was more of the later involved since a lot of the client he took on were individuals or families looking for some advice on how to spend yet keep their fortunes. Though they weren't all rich, some were middle class folk who just wanted help budgeting so they could save for that awesome thing that they wanted. Really he didn't care who or what they were, they were paying him and he was going to give them the best advice he could when it came to spending or not spending their money.
Today his last appointment was set to end at four - a little earlier than most days - but the man was so set on buying that god damn yacht that he was told to go ahead and buy it and to enjoy living in it because he'd lose his house and car if he did so. Then there was some arguing and the man said that he was going to take his business elsewhere and that was more that okay with Eagle - he didn't want some asshole who was too stupid to see when something was all so clearly a bad idea. But he was most definitely in need for a good, hard drink. So he texted a friend and asked him to meet him at this one particular bar that they always seemed to go to. Once the text was sent he had gathered his things from his office and headed out, taking the bus back to his apartment and getting ready for a night of alcohol and bad decisions. Yeah so maybe there wouldn't be too many bad decisions, god he hoped that there wouldn't be anyway - he wasn't a reckless drunk so he'd be fine.
He stayed at home for a while before heading out - he and Miah had agreed on a later time to get there anyway - watching television and simply being lazy until it was time to put a decent shirt on and get shitfaced. When that time came he was quick to do so and was ready to leave his apartment in ten minutes - when he headed out that door and to the bar where the two of them were meeting. As he walked in her scanned the area with his eyes, Jeremiah could be there already, but he didn't see him anywhere so he headed for the bar and waited to be acknowledged by the bartender.
