* - take to the streets
but you can't ignore
Rubbing her temple with her forefingers Brooklyn shook her head. "You can't actually believe that this will sell anything." She said with clear annoyance in her voice. She was in a meeting with some of the people who worked for the marketing company that she now led - they were discussing new ideas to use for their clients and one of those workers had just presented what she thought was the most idiotic advertising campaign ever, and she had seen her fair share of them in her time. Now that she was more or less in charge of, well everything, she had that terrible job of telling someone when something just wasn't good enough, or when it was one of the most ridiculous things she had ever seen. it was hard to be that person sometimes, especially when she had been on the receiving end of such comments in the past - though she still thought her ideas weren't all that bad and deserved a little more consideration, which of course they could get now but she didn't want to not consider other ideas, one would never know where the next bright idea could come from.
The guy that she was talking to looked somewhat horrified. It made her feel a little bad, but someone had to tell him nad it might as well be her. "I'm sorry, but it won't." This time there was some kindness in her voice - but only a small bit. "I'm going to get some air." She said as she turned on her heel and headed out the door - no-one was going to stop her. One would assume that she was going outside to have a cigarette but she was in fact not. She didn't smoke, at least not any more, she had quit many years ago and really she hadn't partook for all that long anyway - just in some of her teen years and maybe a little during college and then some when she was looking for jobs after she had finished college. But now she was clean and rarely even wanted to inhale some toxic smoke - even now when she was stressed out from the terrible advertising idea.
She took the elevator down to the bottom floor - the meeting was being held rather high up in the building. She was alone for most of the ride, but a few floors from the bottom someone else joined her - she didn't know who they were but she took note of their face so that she could maybe find out who they were as she liked to do her best at knowing everyone. Once on the bottom floor she headed right for the doors, being stopped once by one of her higher ups for a quick chat about something involving finances - which she easily brushed aside and said that she'd talk to him later about it. Soon she was outside in the New York City air - it probably wasn't the best kind of air but it was air nonetheless. There was a bench not too far away from the main doors to the building so she went to it and sat down, taking in a deep breath as she did so - apparently telling someone their idea was bad took a lot out of a person.
