Corrigan’s life had been kind of hectic before; with the move, and the acting. But now, she was having a hard time coping alone. A few days after the reveal to a certain Nixon Sanders, the father of her unborn child, she was getting ready to leave for Los Angeles. She had to be there for an award show, which she had found out she had been nominated four different times; best motion picture (drama), best actress in a motion picture (drama), favorite cast, and best actress in a motion picture (romance). If that wasn’t enough, she had an interview the next evening in LA to talk about the award show and about a movie that was coming out of her’s and said movies premiere at the end of the week after. Adding the exhaustion, stress, and morning sickness. She was having the best time. After her anxiety attack in the cab going home, she called Jacey and broke down, the lady was not happy about what had happened but they both agreed they weren’t surprised. Corri got a doctor’s appointment set up for the next day and it turned out to be okay. Until they got to the health history. Okay.. she wasn’t really to talk to Nixon and she had been serious about him being out of their lives forever. However, the doctor explained to her that they need the information to determine possible health problems with the baby. After she was set up with prenatal vitamins and her next appointment set up. She made sure it would be safe for her to fly and they assured her that it would be safe right now. They encouraged her to give the father time, after she vaguely mentioned how he was still coming to terms about the unexpected pregnancy and how they had a fight… how she had basically told him to stay away from her. The nurses were very friendly and they told her how surprised they were to see her there.. she might have signed a few autographs and chatted with them. She wasn’t worried. She knew Jacey had already threatened the employees of clinic, if anything got leaked from them she would make sure they went out of business. The doctor told her to keep up her lifestyle, to cut back on the stress and that they needed to see her again in the months, but that she could send the health information before that.
She called Jacey after her appointment and confirmed with her, her travel plans and Jacey went over her schedule. She had an interview the next night, the award show the night after, another interview the night after the award show, and then she had the movie premier, and possibly another interview, but it wasn’t confirmed yet. She would be gone for two weeks and she needed to pack accordingly. She was still on her phone as she walked, she needed the fresh air. The doctor’s office had been stuffy and smelled like.. well… hospital.. Jacey was trying to help her with the situation at hand, promising that they would figure it out and that there was no way people could tell yet, but they would make sure that she was dressed to not show anything. She was about to hang up when she was approached rather aggressively by a lady. She was shocked, quickly telling Jacey that she needed her to stay on the line and do something, listen to whatever was about to happen. She didn’t know what was going on, until she saw her face. She knew this lady, almost instantly she could remember her. She had been at the fundraiser that night. She was an older lady, she wondered if this was his wife.. maybe he had a thing about older women. She held the phone carefully so Jacey could hear on the other end. The lady started yelling at her and she knew for sure who this lady was. Mrs. Sanders, Nixon’s mother. She was informing her she was a no good whore who was just trying to trap her son into something that clearly wasn’t his problem, and more than likely wasn’t his child. She went on to say (or yell) that she knew the second she saw her at the fundraiser that she would be trouble for them. She wasn’t allowed to tell anyone about this, she would be paid off, if that’s what she wanted the money. But she had to get rid of the problem first.
Now Corri was trying to take the high road here, apparently she should just get used to the Sander’s family calling her a whore. Clearly, making one mistake that resulted in a pregnancy made her pregnant. She wanted to say something horribly snarky to her, maybe ask her how many men she’d spread her legs for.. because at least Corri could count the amount of men on one hand, less than her whole hand actually. This lady clearly had no idea who she really was. Hello! She was America’s sweetheart, or that’s what they were saying about her in the media. But, she knew that this woman would be no different than her son, she would think what she wanted and nothing would change that. However, her high road quickly took a sharp turn down a steep hill to a very low road when she told her just to get rid of the problem. Corri kept her face as emotionless as possible, even though her hormones were surging and she desperately wanted to scream and cry. She raised her hand and slapped the lady hard across the cheek, sending a sharp crack into the air. ”Regardless of what you and your son think, this baby is biologically his.. I never expected or demanded anything from him. WE made a mistake. WE did, not just I. I never told him he had to stick around… but he went and accused me to lying to him. Why the hell would I lie about something like this?” she said trying to keep her voice calm, even though it was shaking slightly. ”As for getting rid of it and being paid off, just like I told your son, I don’t want your money. I just assumed that he would want to know about his illegitimate child before it turned eighteen.. Paying someone off to abort their child is the most horrible thing I’ve ever heard in my life.. “ she was failing at keeping her voice calm. She took a deep breath before she got to the point she wanted to slap her again. ”I’m keeping my baby. I already gave him the out, after he accused me of being a whore, that was the end of that.. I don’t be disrespected like that and if seemed that your family has a horrible way of dealing with their problems. If you or your son try and come near me again, I swear to god my lawyers will be so far up your ass that you won’t have time to worry about your precious oil company.” she said, clearly threatening her. After she spun away and hailed a town car, thankfully she didn’t have to take a cab this time, she was on the phone with Jacey. It took her over ten minutes to get her to calm down, and finally talk about what happened. She made sure that Jacey knew that they were not to be in contact with her again, she didn’t want anything to do with them, and was suddenly concerned about being charged with assault. Anything that they needed to say, could be said through her lawyers, even the medical information.. which she still needed to get. She was so pissed, her hand were shaking and she could barely hold her tears back.
Thankfully, she left that night for LA and was gone for a little over two weeks. The interviews had been nerve wracking, she just worried that they could tell. No one said anything to her. They just did the basics, anything new in her life, what she was wearing, who she was going with, and what she would do if she won. The award show had been amazing; she had come away with her individual awards of best actress in a motion picture (drama) and best actress in a motion picture (romance). She had been surprised and flattered and might have cried once she was off stage both times. Plus, the movies and the entire cast, just not her won best motion picture (drama) and favorite cast. The after party was great and no one caught on that she was drinking apple juice the whole time. The premier had been fantastic, she always loved to do those, especially with all the fan and her friend Patrick Phillips was her male counterpart in the movie, so of course it was fun.
It was a Sunday night when she got home. She had picked up her pets from the kennel, they hadn’t stopped whining and nudging her, but she noted that not even her pittie attempted to jump up on her. She wondered if they could somehow tell. Jacey before she left told her not to stress and if she needed anything just to call her. She also let her know that she had an actually formal audition for the tv show, the slot was her’s but they needed her formal audition to tape and for her to try and work with some of the men that would be her counterpart(s) in the show. None of that worried her, what worried her was that she was now back in the same city as the Sanders’. She half expected police at her door to arrest her for assaulting both of them. She didn’t need this kind of drama in her life right now. She tried not to think about the fact that terrifyingly, she was now going on eight weeks now. She was walking from the town car to her building, carrying her bags and walking the dogs to the building. Before she stepped out, she had emailed Jacey, knowing it was still early in LA, asking her if the lawyers had heard anything from him, he could be an asshole to her, she didn’t care. But she needed to know if her baby was going to be healthy or not. She needed to be prepared. She had even suggested that maybe he could just email the information to the doctor, they didn’t need to know his name, he could stay completely anonymous, she didn’t really care, she was completely over the Sanders’ family. The only thing that mattered to her now was her baby, as horrible and shitty as if started, she was actually starting to get a little excited about it. 1777 words for nixon brice sandersoutfit, I think Miss Sparks has a thing for hitting the Sanders' family. she's a mean momma!! |

NIXON SANDERS | |
He couldn't believe this was happening to him. What the hell was going on? This couldn't be happening. It just couldn't. He had so much on his plate right now he couldn't handle this situation. There was no way she was pregnant....with his head. She just couldn't be. Nixon was standing in his shower, not even noticing that the water had gone cold. His mind was far off in another universe it seemed. He had to be a totally diferent person everyday. He had to be someone his mother expected him to be. He had to change his entire being to be the person he was today. Now, to add onto it, he could be a father of his own? He wasn't ready. He wasn't ready for that change, not yet, maybe not ever. His mother always made it clear that he needed to take his life much more serious now that he was the CEO and owner of his fathers company. He had to take his fathers spot at the top. But, what if he wasn't even ready for that? No, he was ready, he already made that clear. Nixon had done what he needed to do, to do what his mother and hopefully father would have wanted of him. He had succeeded as a business man, even though he didn't have the degree, it just came naturally to him. Of course with the help of his mother along the way.
Coming back to reality, Nixon noticed he was shivering. He quickly reached up to shut off the water. He cursed under his breath and stood there another moment, finally leaning up against the back of the shower and sliding down. "This can't be happening." Nixon felt so ashamed. His mind instantly went to his father. Would he be disapointed in him? Would he tell him to stick beside the woman who was supposedably having his child? Or would he do tell him to do something else? His thoughts then went to his mother. What if she found out? He knew exactly what she would do and the thought instantly made him sick. What was he suppose to do? Who was he suppose to listen to in this situation? He knew if his mother knew she would try and get her to get rid of the baby or pay or off or something of that nature. Again, his stomach lurched. He had to do something, but what?
Nixon had been contacted by Corri's lawyers about sending a dna and blood sample. This confused him at first at why they would want a blood sample as well but Nixon was too exhausted to fight them. He was told it was to find out if the baby would be healthy or something. Nixon knew nothing about this and was already to a point he just wanted to forget about everything. But no, there was no way he would be able to forget about this. The two of them had an amazing night together which in turn apparently produced something more then just a good time. He had to do something. But what? What if the media found out about this? They would rip him apart. But then Nixon thought about Corri. What if the media found out about her? What would they say? Nixon's face went sheet white. God this was all his fault. He needed to do something though. Even if he didn't want to, he knew he needed to do the right thing. If the baby was really his, he needed to take responsiblity.
Nixon knew what he needed to do, and that was talk to Corri. He needed to take this situation much more seriously, even if he didn't want to. The thought scared him. What if he really was the father? Would his life be over? Nixon sat at his desk in the office, clearly at wits end and out of the loop of what was going on in the office. A familiar voice echoed through his office. "Nixon, dear?" It was his mother. Oh god, what was she doing here? He flinched at the voice and looked up, his eyes dark and sunk in as if he hadn't slept for days. "Mother. What are you... what are you doing here?" His voice broke and he cleared his throat. "Is that anyway to speak to your mother?" Nixon could almost hear the grin on her face. He tried to meet it but only gave a half hearted smile, tired of trying to hide everything. She walked up to his desk and watched him. "What is wrong my dear boy?" There was an edge to her voice, like she knew something. Hell, she always knew everything before he ever did. He sat there in silence. His mother always had this affect on him. She made him feel like a little child. "Now now Nixxy, we need to have a little chat." Only his mother ever called him that and it drove him nuts. "About what mother?" He really had no idea what to think of why she was there. there was no way she knew..."We need to talk about that little tramp you slept with...and who is saying she is pregnant...with your child." Her voice got more and more hushed but yet so evil sounding. Nixon's mouth dropped open. How in the hell did she know about this? "I um... well... how do you fucking know?" Nixon spoke behind gritted teeth. He could no believe this. "I spoke with the little whore, dear, I had to deal with it." Again, the color fell from his face. "You.. you did what? He could not believe what he was hearing. She did not talk to Corri. He knew all to well what to expect her to have said. "Yes, she needed to be taken care of. You have nothing to worry about now dear." Nixon could not believe what he was hearing. He had finally had enough. "How dare you mother, how dare you. He was so upset now. "I can't believe you did this." God only knows what she had caused.
Nixon pushed himself up out of the chair with such force it pushed the desk away from him. He just looked at his mother with utter disgust. "You have no idea what you have done." Nixon honestly didn't know why he was sticking up for Corri. He had no idea if the baby was even his but he felt the need to stand up for her. "That, girl, is not a tramp." His heart was pounding. "That, girl, has a fucking name mother. Corri. Corri is her name." His eyes were filled with hatred at that moment. But he needed to leave. He needed to get some air. He grabbed his jacket and stormed out of the office. "When I get back, you better be gone." With that he went to the elevator and got in. He knew where he needed to go.
His car came to a screetching hault in front of the buidling which Corri lived. He had his guys find out wher she lived and he rushed over their. He stormed up the stairs and got to the door. But for a second he wasn't sure he could or even should be doing this. He took a deep breath. His heart was still pounding and his breathing was deep, quickened. He needed to do this. With that, he reached up and hesitantly knocked on the door. God help him.

Corri really wasn’t planning to do anything that night. She didn’t want to go anywhere, even though she had friends that were blowing up her phone wanting her to come celebrate for her big wins. She didn’t want to. She didn’t want to be out when other people were drinking, when she couldn’t. She didn’t want to be out with fun people because, sure she was in a good mood, but the gloominess of the city was getting to her. She suddenly missed California. She missed the sun and the heat. Here, all she had was gloominess and the fact that she was certain she was hated by a very powerful family.
After her long trip and the long drive from the airport, she just wanted a nap, some real food, and a nice hot bath. The bath was first, or shower when she felt her tummy rumbling. She took long enough that her water was cold. She got out and wrapped herself in her silk robe before she walked out, towel drying her hair as she went. She smirked softly as she saw her dogs and cat sitting there, waiting expectantly. She playfully rolled her eyes at them as she rummaged around and found the dog treats and the cat treats (since Nikki heard the container opening.) Lara, her all black Staffordshire Bull Terrier and King her Pit Bull, both sat patiently waiting for their treats, they took them politely as she rubbed the top of their heads softly.
After that was over, she wandered back to her bedroom and got dressed. It was Sunday, there was no reason for her to get up and go outside, so she decided just to dress simply and well, she just pulled on the leggings that she had on before and a long sleeved tunic. She went to the living room and sat on the couch, but she couldn’t sit still. She was still on California time, so it was still early there. She decided to order food, realizing she was still starving. She ordered from her favorite Chinese place. They were fast and had great food. She might have ordered too much, but she could use the excuse to eat for two now right?
She laid down again, after her food was set, twenty minutes. She turned on her tv, but became instantly bored with the show that was on. She ended up flipping through the channels and couldn’t help but stop on the bringing home baby show. That’s exactly what she needed. The hormones were crazy, but she supposed she should be thankful that she hadn’t thrown up this entire time. It was a record. She was trying not to think about any of the negative though. It startled her when there was a loud pound on her door. She got up, grabbed her wallet and opened the door, she gave the delivery guy a smile, and he seemed stunned when he realized who she was. She paid him in cash, giving her a more than decent tip. After that was all squared away, she closed the door and walked to the kitchen, pulling out a fork and pulling all of the food out of the bag. He forgot napkins. Great. Not that she didn’t have them, but still napkins were expected right?
That’s when she hear another knock of the door. It didn’t even register that this was a different knock than before. She walked to the door, after putting her food down in the kitchen. There was no hesitation to open the door, clearly she was expecting someone different when the door was pulled back and her face fell. She was going to slam the door on him, except he stopped her. She glared coldly at him. ”Doesn’t your family know manners?” she said harshly. She was hungry, hormonal, hurt, confused, and the list could go on and on. He was the root of all of these problems… except the hungry part… ”Like I told your mother, after she ambushed me, I don’t want anything from you or your family. I don’t want you around me or my baby…” She said, as her voice raised slightly. ”I’m not getting rid of my baby.. I don’t even want you in my life, I just figured you would want to know that you have a child floating around the city in a few months.” This wasn’t normal Corri. She was usually pleasant, cheerful, and silly. But, he struck a nerve and so did his mom.
She wasn’t finished though. She couldn’t stop herself. ”Seriously. Does your family just like to make asses out of themselves? I know you this wasn’t planned.. and unlike you, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that your normal night isn’t taking a stranger up to a dumpy club apartment and hook up with them… because unlike you, I’m not going to automatically assume that you’re a whore.” she said glaring at him. ”I’m tired of being called a whore.. and I’m tired of being accused that I sleep around… and I swear to god if you’re here to try and convince me to abort my child or try and pay me off so I make this whole problem disappear.. then clearly your mother didn’t understand the slap that she got.” she crossed her arms under her chest. She realized he could be there to try and press charges or something, since she did slap him and his mother. ”If you’re going to press charges…. Then fine.. my lawyers will be in touch, they already have enough information they need if legal actions are going to be taken. I recorded your mother.. and all of it, her trying to pay me off.. and.. really I would just love to see my lawyers drag that horrible woman through the mud.” She said the last part simply. She wasn’t lying, she would love to see her reaction when that recording got out.
”I’m not going to tell anyone it’s yours, even if you don’t think it is.. it is… This could hurt my image as much as it could ruin you and your business… and even if you think that this is just some scam to get your money, it’s not.. I have my own money, I have plenty of business and jobs coming in. I don’t need your support.” she added, coldly, making sure he understood all of that. Then it dawned on her. How did he know where she lived? She apparently needed to find a different place to live now, especially if this man could just walk into the apartment building and find her door without anyone to slop him or ring him up. ”How the hell did you find out where I lived? I mean.. I called your work, but seriously, you aren’t that hard to find.. Finding out where I live is kind of stalker-ish.” she said, her arms still crossed under her chest, her door stopped with tight covered foot, and her voice held a sarcastic tone. She could feel herself becoming too emotional, she wanted to slam the door on him and lock the door and comfort herself with the Chinese food. Oh yes, she was still pissed at him. Maybe she wouldn’t have been as angry if it weren’t for his mother. For all she knew, he could have gotten her to confront her. But, she wasn’t about to accuse him of that. She looked down seeing King and Lara standing there, she wondered if they could feel her getting worked up. She swore she heard King growling, but she wasn't certain.
