i love you like crazy girl
zeus couldn't actually remember the reasons why he'd refused to marry lenny in the first place, why it had taken her leaving to finally prompt him to tie the knot with her. because of course, as it turned out being married to lenny was the greatest thing in the whole entire world. she had always been zeus' lenny, but now there was a piece of paper that said so. and she was wearing her ring again. it totally felt weird not having it around his neck, but he loved looking down and seeing it on her hand. he could tell that she was totally stoked about their marriage being official, since she was the one who'd spent so much time planning it in the first place. god he loved his lennon vera marinos. once she'd gotten over the shock of an impromptu wedding, which had definitely caught her by surprise. he also found himself completely in love with calling her lennon vera marinos, his little mrs marinos. it wasn't that she belonged to him - though to be honest she'd always belonged him, since that day in middle school eleven years ago. their wedding... gah he couldn't put words to it... standing their... declaring himself as property of lennon vera dawes, giving her his last name, making her a part of his family for the rest of the future.... there just were no words to describe how it made him feel. christmas eve had been a really weird anniversary but even lenny had agreed that their wedding was a perfect christmas gift. and then of course there was the honeymoon. holy gods, his and theirs alike, there was simply no equal to the way that had made him feel. a month pretending the rest of the world didn't exist anymore. he'd surprised her with a honeymoon by the beach, a rented water villa. cloud nine... that was seriously the only way to describe the way it had all made him feel.
choices... so many choices. zeus had chosen to come to america because it was where his sister would be. and without damon and his sister... he had nothing. athena had chosen to come to america because of all the oppurtunities it provided for her in regards to college. damon had chosen to come to america because he and zeus were buddies, had been since before either of them could remember. neither of them could exist without the other. and lenny... well lenny had chosen to come to america because she missed him just as much as he had missed her. he could still remember the day she'd come back into his life. the man holding her wrist, her running, him pining the man to the wall, watching the light fading from his eyes, lenny stopping him from killing a man. him pressing his lips to lenny's. lenny. lenny. lenny. it was more than he ever dared to hope for, getting his lenny back. he'd screwed up so bad and he could only hope that their impromptu wedding was enough to make up for anything. zeus' hand had taken to playing with his wedding band whenever he walked down the streets of new york. he'd never been more glad than he was now. they'd been back from the honeymoon for a couple days and he had decided that it was time to record lenny's song, that way she could download it onto her ipod and listen to it whenever she wanted. it was always enough to calm her down or make her feel better or make her feel just how much he loved her, just how willing he was to do everything in the world for her. so now she would have the song on her ipod, he was sure of it. his crazy girl... she would never be able to doubt his love for her ever again.
walking down the street, zeus was looking out for a music store that he'd found online. it didn't have a recording studio but perhaps someone would be able to point him in the right direction of a good one. he finally spotted the sign amongst the others and walked into it. it was hard to tell what group of music lovers would know who he was when he walked into a store. his american single had come and gone. it was always interesting to see in which stores was he a celebrity and in which was he a normal guy with a lot of tatoos and an intimidating attitude. he almost preferred the former but it was always cool to see just how far his music and the influence of the music had spread into the united states. the air inside the store was crisp, but reeked of vinyl's and
