Kira doesn't know much about her past - at least not much about anything that happened before her father turned her over to the Yakuza. She was eleven at the time. She doesn't care much for what her life was like before her father betrayed her and took away any chance of a normal life. Though really she is scared to remember what life was like before she became the person she is now, before she became an assassin, before she learned to hide everything, before she found herself a part of one of the largest criminal organisations in the world. Even though she doesn't know or care much about her life before the Yakuza it did happen and whether she wants to know it or not is key to why the man who her father owed a great deal of money agreed to take her in place of the money owed.
